In 1972 @SDCaltrans opened I-805 for Community Cycle Day. Its been open ever since for car traffic. Just bc we were born into a society w/I-805 doesn't mean we shudn't re-think the space. Let's re-open it w/bikeways, transit lines, & overdue mitigation for displaced communities

Not sure how to feel about this, tbh. Was the fight lackluster? Felt like a glorified sparring session btwn 2 friends who didn’t want to hurt each other. But this is a very slippery slope. Where’s the line? In other sports, good win or not you survive and advance. This could not happen. Doozy.

When traveling by bus across the I-805 & the SR-94 this year, commuters noticed their trip looked a bit different—and faster! During peak hours, the Rapid Route 225 now use shoulder lanes to breeze through traffic thx to resident advocacy. See report: cityheightscdc.org/stories/reside…
