ALRC report to be released today. There is a long history of recommendations sitting on shelves, collecting dust. This is where the rubber hits the road. We need action and recognition of the trauma caused by the system and by the constant inquiries re-describing the same problem

I do not accept the label of carceral feminist - it is being used to hurt & belittle others. I do not accept judgement for using the police&CJS against my perpetrator...had I not I would be dead. It was not about justice-it was about safety. We have a right to safety.

@LibertyVic I see still more subs are going up. The Committee will report in four weeks unless there's an extension.
I wonder if there will be hearings between now and then? And what, if anything, the Department says to the Committee about what I and LibVic say about the shield provisions?
