COVID made @RapteeEnergy .HV what we are today. Before the pandemic hit India, we were doing what most EV startups do every day: buying components, welding frames, and integrating parts that someone else had already designed for the automotive industry. We were building products, but we weren't really creating anything fundamentally new or different. We were assembling existing technology, not pushing boundaries. Then COVID happened and everything stopped overnight without any warning or preparation time. That's when something fundamental shifted in how we approached our work and engineering. We started designing battery management systems from scratch, writing firmware ourselves, and understanding power electronics at a level we'd never needed to before this moment. Those months of forced isolation taught us something we couldn't have learned otherwise. When we finally got back to the garage, we were different engineers altogether. We understood the product at a completely different level because we'd built everything from first principles.
