🤔 Fun fact: During the Black Album tour, the band's pyrotechnician designed a "staged accident" where a lighting tech would fall from the rafters and the stage would "catch fire" during the song's climax. It looked so real that police and firefighters actually rushed in to shut down several shows, thinking Metallica was burning alive! Did you know? 🤯 #Metallica #EnterSandman #LiveMetal

311 playing a show in San Francisco in 2002. In the pre-internet era, there were always these weird and silly rumors and urban legends floating around. Stuff like Paul, the kid from The Wonder Years, was actually Marilyn Manson, Mister Rogers was a Navy SEAL sniper, and Walt Disney was cryogenically frozen. One of those rumors was that 311 was somehow either made up of members of the KKK or affiliated with them because K is the eleventh letter in the alphabet and three 11s (311) somehow meant KKK. The truth is, the name 311 was inspired by the Omaha, Nebraska, police code for indecent exposure. source footage 🎥: 311 Archive & Wes Smith

The way @Metallica did these sales to have people grateful they can pay $900 a ticket will be studied by promoters. Vibee packages Legacy codes as same time as people who signed up yesterday VIP packages 2-day packages Platinum tickets Seats being held back to release later Ticketmaster crashing. Bots This has been the single worst week of on-sales/presales ever and one of, if not most manipulated sales.

@RasJeff @Metallica yeah sadly still had to pay a pretty solid price just to get a couple of tickets. Legacy should have been able to easily get face value tickets.

On This Day in Metal 🤘 February 25th 1992 — Texas groove metal giants Pantera release their landmark sixth studio album Vulgar Display of Power. Featuring crushing anthems like “Mouth for War,” “Walk,” and “This Love,” the record sharpened their groove-driven aggression, tightened the riffs, and delivered some of the most iconic breakdowns of the decade. A defining statement of ’90s metal — raw, heavy, and unapologetic. What’s your favorite track off Vulgar Display of Power? 🔥 #OnThisDayInMetal #Pantera #VulgarDisplayOfPower #GrooveMetal #90sMetal #MetalHistory #MouthForWar #Walk #ThisLove #HeavyMetal

Here’s a fun fact: Tool’s performance of “Sober” at the Reading Festival on August 27, 1993, is captured in what is widely regarded as the only existing professional multi-camera TV broadcast (pro-shot) footage of the band from their early Undertow era. This rare clip shows a very young Maynard James Keenan (in his signature eccentric style—often described as wearing a pink onesie or similar quirky outfit for that set) delivering the song with the raw, intense energy that helped put Tool on the map internationally. It’s become a fan-favorite archival gem, frequently shared and remastered online because almost no other high-quality live footage exists from Tool in 1993. The setlist that day included “Sober” right in the middle, sandwiched between tracks like “Undertow” and “Opiate.”
