Player Spotlight Q&A with Dylan Gore ‘28 QB Andrean HS QB | 2028 | 6’0” 180 What’s a moment from last season that stands out to you? One moment that stands out to me is in the semi state game against Adam’s Central when I completed a pass to Stetson Sullivan on a broken play putting us on the one yard line. Then following that scoring on a hard fought qb sneak then winning the game to advance to the state championship. How would you describe your style of play? I would like to say I’m a rhythm passer. Once I get my tempo and I settle into the game I can be accurate and take care of the football getting it to the guys who need it to make plays. What was the highlight of the 2025 season? The highlight of my season was the whole week of state. I made so many life long memories with my teammates and then going down there and getting that blue medal was something I will never forget. Other than your own, which stadium do you enjoy playing in the most? Lucas oil stadium, obvious reasons Which road stadium is the toughest to play in? From the stadiums I have played in I would probably have to say Lowell their fans are loud making it difficult to get plays in. Best advice you’ve received about playing your position ? Who gave it to you? The best advice I’ve received was from my qb coach Preston Earl. He told me to get the ball to the receivers and the rest will take care of itself. What would it mean to play in the North vs. South All-Star game? Most of my goals for high school football are team oriented- Conference Champs, State Champs, etc. Which we reached last year. The 2 individual goals I have are school passing record and to make the N vs S game. It would mean a lot to get to represent my school and the North in the game. What's the best part of being a student-athlete at your school? My favorite part is getting to be friends with people in the classroom then going out and competing with them everyday at practice. Favorite part of practice? My favorite part of practice is offensive 11v11. It is a good time to work on everything you have been practicing and challenge yourself to get better. Has the transfer portal made recruiting tougher for high school players? Yes it definitely has made it tougher. Now coaches can go to the portal instead of faith in a high school kid. Favorite sports movie or show? My favorite sports movie is Friday Night Lights. If you could sit down with any athlete for an hour, who would it be? If I could sit with any athlete for an hour it would be Tom Brady. I would like to talk to him about how he studied the defense and get a better understanding of the game.
