I’ve been a Duke fan since I watched The Shot in 1992 with my dad. We watched March Madness every year, and that was my first core memory of college basketball. I saw @laettnerbball on Letterman later that year (the Top Ten was also a family tradition back then) and was completely enamored. I insisted on a trip to Durham so I could see Cameron Indoor Stadium. My dad made it happen when I was in high school, even though I was definitely not Duke material (athletically or academically). I’m including a terrible pic of me at the Duke bookstore circa 1997. I took my oldest son to watch Duke in the Sweet 16 in Dallas in 2024. He’s been a Blue Devil basketball fan ever since. Anyway, my point is that I don’t care what anyone thinks, I will always be a Duke fan. 🥰 Go Blue Devils!

🚨 𝗠𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗞𝗔 𝗔𝗭𝗜𝗭𝗜, 18, was arrested in Iran for protesting. She was sentenced to death for “moharebeh” (“waging war against God”). She was beaten, held in solitary, and refused to stay silent in court. Reports indicate she may have been executed on Nowruz, but I’m not totally confident in the sources. I can verify that Melika, this 18-year-old girl, was sentenced to death for defiance by the Islamic terror regime in Iran. Stay connected, follow @MOSSADil.

U.S. Army Technical Sergeant Clinton M. Hendrick of Cherry Grove, West Virginia was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for his heroic actions during Operation Varsity on March 27-28, 1945. Operation Varsity was the 194th Glider Infantry Regiment’s first glider landing. Its objective was to land north of Wesel, Germany, in a large flat area, where the Issel River and the Issel Canal merged, and seize the crossing over the Rhine River to protect the rest of the division’s right flank. Hedrick joined the army in September 1940, and by March 27, 1945, he was serving as a technical sergeant in Company I, 194th Glider Infantry Regiment, 17th Airborne Division. On that day and the next, near Lembeck, Germany, he repeatedly charged through heavy fire to attack German positions. He alone followed a group of German soldiers when they retreated into a castle. When the Germans indicated they wished to surrender, Hedrick and four other men entered the castle, only to be fired upon by a German self-propelled gun. Hedrick was fatally wounded but successfully covered the withdrawal of his men. He was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for these actions on October 19, 1945. #WeRememberThem

I make a promise right here & now: If I ever decide to run for higher office, I’m willing to forgo vacations, holidays, & time with family if it means doing right by the American people & passing legislation that I campaigned on. Also, I will wait in line at airports — like everyone else — & not expect special privileges, especially when thousands of TSA agents aren’t being paid. Furthermore, I won’t exempt myself from legislation that the American people must abide by. If you can’t tell, I’m beyond irate.

Ashling Murphy was murdered by welfare migrant Josef Puska while she was going for a jog in January 2022. He stabbed her 12 times in the neck and she bled to death as a result. The media covered up the nature of the murder for 2 years, we were told he strangled Ashling. Puska received a life sentence, meaning he will be eligible for parole after serving 12 years. 5 members of his family were also sentenced to prison for covering up the crime. As difficult as it might be to understand, Ashling's partner Ryan Casey has become the subject of a harassment campaign this week. He has been widely targeted, even by people in the entertainment industry and politics. Just because he spoke about wishing to make Ireland safer. There's a deep sickness in Ireland and it has spread far and wide because good people are far too tolerant. We have allowed Ireland to become a country where welfare migrants kill young women. A country where the loved ones of the victims of migrant violence are publicly mocked and bullied by grown adults. It is beyond time we all become a little less tolerant. Firstly with who is allowed into our country and communities because living around Irish people is a privilege, not a right. Secondly, nobody should ever feel comfortable harassing someone like Ryan Casey, they should feel deep shame and fear of enormous public backlash. But this week we saw hundreds of people including several high profile individuals join a campaign of harassment against a man who lost the love of his life to a migrant killer. That's too far. Unacceptable in a civilized society. Our country needs a moral shift. The weirdos and freaks have held the moral high ground for too long. It's time for all of us to take it back. I stand with Ryan Casey.

Old South Meeting House in Boston, Massachusetts was the largest building in colonial Boston and the stage for some of the most dramatic events leading up to the American Revolution. Built as a Puritan meeting house in 1729, Old South Meeting House stands today as one of the nation’s most important colonial sites. In colonial times, statesman Benjamin Franklin was baptized here. Phillis Wheatley, the first published Black poet, was a member, as were patriots Samuel Adams whose father served as a deacon, James Otis, Jr., Thomas Cushing, and William Dawes. When the British Parliament began to levy taxes on the American colonies and attempted to control colonial autonomy, Patriots and Loyalists alike flocked to Old South to debate the most pressing issues. They argued about the Boston Massacre, and they protested impressment of American sailors into the British Navy. On the night of December 16, 1773, some 5,000 angry colonists gathered at Old South to debate whether the taxed tea that arrived in Boston Harbor should be landed, and to submit pressure on the tea commissioners and the owners of the ships transporting that tea. When the negotiations failed, men disguised as “Mohawks” took action and destroyed over 342 chests of tea with a modern estimated value of $1.7 million. Four Boston Massacre Orations, commemorating the Boston Massacre that occurred on March 5, 1770, were delivered here: *Dr. Joseph Warren, 1772 *Dr. Benjamin Church, 1773, *John Hancock, 1774 *Dr. Joseph Warren, 1775 During the Siege of Boston, the British army turned Old South into a riding stable. They ripped out the pews, installed a bar in the first balcony, and used Old South as a riding school for the British cavalry. Though the British forces evacuated Boston in March of 1776, it was not until 1783 when the congregation at last restored Old South as a place of worship. Since 1877, Old South has served as a museum, historic site, educational institution, and a sanctuary for free speech.

The story of Noelia Castillo Ramos gets more and more evil. One of the worst parts is that she was killed and exploited for her organs. According to her attorney, Polonia Castellanos, the euthanasia was not delayed, even as the family continued to object, because Noelia’s organs had already been designated for donation. This raises serious concerns about whether outside factors may have influenced the timing of her death. When a decision as final as this is connected to something else—especially something as sensitive as organ donation—it leaves many wondering if the system is truly focused on the person in front of them. Instead of being surrounded with more care, more time, and more support, her life was brought to an end so a medical system could harvest her organs. This case raises a painful but necessary question. When someone is suffering deeply—especially from emotional and psychological wounds—should the answer be to end their life, or should it be to help them cope with that pain? And should they be killed just for their organs for $$$? Noelia deserved better.
