@lzzfxp_ @Tgarratt10 Also, when has the Premier League not been great? There has been some amazing PL teams throughout the last 20 years…

@RateTheTalent @Tgarratt10 So, Mbappé, Cavani, Ibrahimovic, etc. are bad according to your point of view, right? The Premier League wasn't always the great league you guys make it out to be... they'd get to the Champions League and get humiliated by Italian, Spanish, and German teams.

@lzzfxp_ @Tgarratt10 Zlatan played in many the other leagues. I rate Zlatan for his games in AC Milan and Barca. Iconic player. Mbappe is a bit overrated. I mean, he is very good. But like I said, I think players with amazing stats in Ligue 1 needs to prove it in other leages. He will in La Liga

@lzzfxp_ @Tgarratt10 I much more rate Cavani at Napoli. He was good in PSG, but he proved his quality when he was good at Man Utd aswell. Very good player I think Cavani was good, but he wasn’t even close to someone like Rooney. If Neymar is Tier 1, and Rooney is tier 2, then Cavani is tier 3/4

@Furymaker_ I agree with that, but I am struggling to see the «Rooney couldn’t even lace Neymar’s boots» type comments. That for me is disrespectful. So many saying Rooney is overhyped and shit. That just isn’t true. And what he did for Manchester United is also very impressive

@RateTheTalent Don't assume people didn't watch, everyone knows Neymar is third best player of our generation and Rooney is in a fight for top 5 best strikers of our generation.

What's up with all the shit takes on my timeline? Rooney better than Neymar? Vision? Output? Effectiveness? 😂😂😂 What am I even reading? If Neymar and Rooney played in the same team, coach would force Rooney to clean Neymar's boots after he's done running for him for 90mins. Don't make me laugh.
Rory Jennings ⭐ ⭐@Chelsearory

Wayne Rooney was a better player than Neymar. By a country mile. There isn’t one aspect of football where Neymar outshines Rooney. Vision, output, effectiveness, mentality…it’s all Rooney. Some things in football are to be debated, others are straight up fact, this is the latter

@GingaBonitoHub @Chelsearory Ligue 1 was not competitive at all at that time. He did well in a shit league. PSG just won every season. Easier games aswell… Ligue 1 is arguably more competitive this season than all seasons between 2017 and 2024…

Neymar had 5 years at Barcelona. That’s it, five. The rest of the time he’s swanning about on holiday in Paris and Saudi Arabia & you’re trying to tell me that’s more impressive than Rooney who ended his career as both Manchester United and England’s top goalscorer. Incomparable.

He played like more than 50% of his career in Brazil, and France, of course Neymar will have more goals. Besides it's not even about G/A. Neymar style in PSG will never translate to success. Neymar ball won't carry 2010/2011 trash United team to a PL title like Rooney did.

@Furymaker_ I am not saying Rooney is better, just that it is closer than people make it out to be. Neymar had a short career, but his 5 years at Barca is for the history books apparently… I am not having the disrespect on Rooney’s name when he was amazing for 10+ years while Neymar was 5

@Furymaker_ For me the issue is that you think 4-5 years at Barca makes him in «a different stratosphere». You can’t take any of this football in PSG seriously. That league is more competitive now than it was before. Before, PSG used to be a bunch of points ahead of everyone every year…

@lzzfxp_ @Tgarratt10 We can’t take pundits seriously tho. People think people like Neville and Rooney actually believe that. They have to say it because of clicks and reactions. Neymar’s career for Santos and Barca is amazing. BUT, I am not having 8 years in PSG and Al Hilal as «peak Neymar»

@RateTheTalent @Tgarratt10 most of Neymar's seasons in numbers In terms of numbers, he's better than Rooney, who played further forward. Rooney is a good player, he was a star, but after he retired he started talking a lot of nonsense.

@adriandelmonte @stevie__cole We’re not talking just ability. We are talking his career aswell. His career in general is worse than many in the Premier League. Arguably one of the best in history purely based on ability ON HIS DAY. Still a lot of injuries and the fact that many years was at PSG…

@stevie__cole Name one better English footballer than him. Couple you could half debate, but that’s it. I gained my greatest appreciation for him in the 2020 UCL Finals in Lisbon during Covid. Watching him up close with no crowd, another level of player.

The disrespect for Neymar is incredible. One of the best ever. No question. Better than any English player in history. Swanning about in Paris. More disrespect. That’s enough English media for one week.

@analyzingfutbol I do want proven players, but I also personally want someone that isn’t hyped a lot. I don’t need another player with a risk of a high fee and not handling the pressure at Man Utd. I want the unknown Ji-Sung Park/Vidic type signing where they come from random clubs but impress

@RateTheTalent I mean Anderson is insanely clear imo. But even Mateus and garner are underrated overall but will cost a lot. But i definitely can understand the excitement wearing off a bit.

Isn’t it telling that you would pay more for 2 players to make up the impact of one that you can still compete to sign? (Potentially a significant amount less). Like I’ve said, the best shot at hijacking Anderson to city is in the club to club negotiation aspect. That said, I think ignoring the potential value in Mateus (regardless of relegation) and garner (even with the new deal) is a mistake. (Using DataMB radar for consistent comparison to original post).

UtdResurgent@UtdResurgent

Anderson is the complete package. If you can get him, you do. But he’s likely going to City. If you can’t get him, you need to recreate him in the aggregate. That’s where Baleba + Wharton/Tonali makes sense.

@premdebrief I think people are just reserved because it isn’t long since Casemiro signed, and he is already done. People want someone for the next 7-8 years and Guimaraes would be another 4-5 year max type of signing

Have always found it funny how whenever a player aged 26+ gets linked with United, his age suddenly goes up a year on this app Bruno G is not 29, nor is he in his early thirties which I've seen today 😂

@aaron_solberg_ €57m on Wissa €61m on Elanga €45m on Ramsey €75m on Woltemade €44m on Barnes Maybe the problems isn’t the money, but the way you spend it. So many of these could’ve been avoided if Newcastle scouted proper alternatives for a fraction of the price.
