We are delighted to share that Dr. Abhilasha Batra, a former PhD student from the Computational and Experimental Biophysics Lab, IISER Bhopal, led by Dr. Rati Sharma, has been awarded the prestigious HFSP Postdoctoral Fellowship! During her PhD, Abhilasha worked at the exciting interface of biology and physics, combining computational and experimental approaches to uncover the interactions between biological entities. As an HFSP Fellow, she will continue her interdisciplinary research on “Cell fate transitions and adaptive responses in yeast under combinatorial stress environments” in the laboratory of Prof. Gilles Charvin at the University of Strasbourg, France. Here's our latest work in the area of non-equilibrium stat mech carried out by Debasish @sdebasish007 . We show that stochastic resetting breaks time correlation in non-Markovian processes and renders the FPT distribution exponential. Preprint: arxiv.org/abs/2509.11608

So happy to report this story on how receptor guanylyl cyclases in AFD neurons regulate heat shock response in C. elegans. We find that among the three gcys, gcy-18 and -23 are the key regulators. Very nice meticulous work carried out by @AbhilashaBatra biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
