Modern power plants, coal, gas, and especially nuclear, are engineered to withstand the forces of nature. But you can’t encase hectares of solar panels in steel and concrete. When Mother Nature throws a tantrum, the result is total destruction. Yet here in Australia, thanks to @Albomp’s Energy Tsar, El presidente Chris Bowen, we’re gambling our future on an energy system that depends entirely on the weather behaving. These same ministers keep warning us the weather will get significantly worse. So why on earth are we betting our energy security on sun catchers and windmills that rely solely on the weather? Tell me that makes sense.
