@admbeaumont What are you talking about???? Nothing was swept under the rug. They were charged, lost their jobs, contracts terminated, went to court, and were acquitted. So in your world, they’re not allowed to go back to earning a living?
English

It is so bleakly NHL that the only two teams to sign players from the Hockey Canada Five wind up in the Stanley Cup Final not even a year removed from their acquittal. This is hockey culture. Sweep it under the rug and trod all over it.

The Stanley Cup Final starts Tuesday in Raleigh Vegas vs Carolina for the title

To my neighbor that thought it was okay to mow the lawn SHIRTLESS in a residential neighborhood, I have already contacted the police. This is NOT a beach. This is NOT a gym. This is a neighborhood with families and kids walking around. I don’t care if it’s “hot”. PUT. A. SHIRT. ON. We have basic standards for a reason. Broad daylight. Right out in the open. Like this is completely normal behavior. Have some DECENCY and some respect for the people who live around you. This isn’t that hard. 😡

@CrashDummy12x @Harian_Mossa Fake story. Absolutely was NOT widely implied by any credible source.
English

@Harian_Mossa It’s been widely implied by Blackhawks media and sources in Rockford that he did not enjoy his time there and being back there would do more negative for his development/confidence than any positives for him.
English

Kevin Korchinski should have just refused Rockford like Artyom Levshunov pretty much did and he would have had an expedited path to the NHL with special treatment 😂

@winstonwolf89 @TheExtremeMusi1 Except Ringo never played drums on the album that Quincy was involved with. Quincy said some strangely inaccurate things near the end.
English

@hoeyjohn @TheExtremeMusi1 He never said that though. It was a comedian making a joke. Lennon never said it.
English

@TheExtremeMusi1 John Lennon said he "wasn't even the best drummer in the band" 🤣🤣🤣
English

@historyrock_ Chameleon. He played a role for each phase of his career by assuming various personas like a stage actor. As a result we don’t know who the real David Bowie was. Love listening to his interviews though. A very intelligent and charming guy.
English

@JasonGregor @Autokev Rule of thumb: if you have to explain your joke it probably wasn’t that good to begin with.
English

@Autokev I can’t help it that you can’t grasp that Koskinen once allowed four goals in first four shots. Skinner never did so it would be dumb for me to mention it. Humour is allowed despite you not getting it.
English

Gregor can’t say anything bad about Skinner because he’s compromised but Stu was just as bad if not worse than Koskinen.
Jason Gregor@JasonGregor
Even Koskinen thinks Lyon has had a tough start. Three goals on three shots for Montreal. One SH goal, one PP goal and one 5x5 goal for Montreal. Luukkonen coming in for Buffalo.

@jimmathesonnhl So long as Cassidy is getting paid, he remains under contract whether he’s working or not. Take the money and enjoy life. Now having said that, most teams would rather not spend money on fired coaches, so Cassidy will eventually find a dance partner but Vegas holds the cards.

@GlenMah It’s the journalist’s job to report the news, not worry about whether someone’s feelings will be hurt. I don’t blame Frank Saravelli, or whoever else reported it. They are just doing their job. This is on the Oilers, and it’s not a good look on the leadership team.
English

My thoughts on the Oilers coaching situation:
This isn’t about whether the Oilers should or shouldn’t make a coaching change. This is about the ugly, trashy side of sports reporting.
If the report is accurate that the Oilers asked permission to speak with Butch Cassidy, I think it’s embarrassing that this became public the way it did. The race to be first has completely overtaken basic decency.
Somewhere along the way, too many sports insiders started treating people’s jobs, families, and reputations like content. Leak it first. Post it fast. Rack up the clicks. Deal with the fallout later.
I feel terrible for Kris Knoblauch and his family. Whatever anyone thinks of him as a coach, he does not deserve to have his job status dragged through public speculation because someone wanted engagement.
Are Oilers management partly responsible? Yes. If they are moving in another direction, they owe Knoblauch clarity and respect. Maybe that conversation has already happened. Maybe it hasn’t. We don’t know.
But this leak-first, ask-questions-later style of sports reporting is gross. It turns a real person’s livelihood into a scoop, and I think that’s garbage.
Wishing Kris Knoblauch and his family all the best, and thanking him for his service and dedication to the Oilers.
To the person responsible for leaking this story: I have zero respect for this kind of reporting. The constant engagement farming, the need to be first, and the willingness to treat someone’s career like disposable content is exactly what makes modern sports media so frustrating.

@GlowofGratitude @Ducnghia16 I was more into Guns n Roses and hair bands at the time. Missed out I guess. Been checking him out on Spotify and quite enjoying it. LA to Miami is a good album. 👍
English

@Ray128D @Ducnghia16 Music with soul, meaning, sincerity, and talent. Country music represents American culture🇺🇸
English

@farmingandJesus @Ducnghia16 Been listening to him on Spotify. I like it. 👍
English

@Ray128D @Ducnghia16 Everyone who likes real music knows he’s Keith whitely :))
English

@MarleneForet @Ducnghia16 Me? 🤣 Never knew about him. So I’ve been checking out his songs on Spotify. It’s not bad. Reminds me of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and Eddie Rabbit. Good stuff.
English

@Ray128D @Ducnghia16 Not knowing who he is is your fault. Us real country music fans know exactly who he is. Had he lived longer, he would've held the title "King of Country" instead of George Strait.
