As a woman, I am deeply horrified. Tennessee Republicans are so “pro-life” that they proposed a bill that would allow the death penalty for women who have an abortion. Let that sink in. The death penalty. For a medical decision. This is beyond extreme. It’s not about protecting life... it’s about controlling women’s bodies through fear and punishment. Calling this “pro-life” while threatening women with execution is not just hypocritical, it’s inhumane. Leave women alone.

ICE announced they’re going to spend more than $38 billion to detain thousands of more people. With that amount of money, we could end homelessness, extend the Affordable Care Act subsidies, or provide school lunches to every kid in America. This is totally unacceptable.
