@qntm I ordered a hardcover (of this wonderful book!) from Amazon on Sept. 23, and a note in the book says it was printed Sept. 24. So mine at least was POD.

Very curious how much of this speculation is correct, of course. "The system is very sleepy" is still my front-running guess

I have long since pushed all the relevant buttons to take Antimemetics down from sale. Despite this, it looks like the Amazon.com paperback and hardcover editions are still available to purchase (cont.)
qntm@qntm

tl;dr: the original version of Antimemetics will *remain online on the SCP website forever*, however it will be *pulled from Amazon* at the end of September 2024. If you have any intention of buying this book, esp. in paperback or hardcover, do it now: amazon.com/dp/B0915M7T61

@jonnywaistcoat My favorite is Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla. How can you not love the idea of a giant robot Godzilla? May not be an objectively great movie, but it’s a lot of fun.

...and a few more snapshots from the wayback machine including my little Florida studio from the Planescape days, showing off the "Hellhound" comic with TSR staff artist @robhrr and hanging at Gencon '96 with the amazing designers, @ColinMcComb @RayVallese and @MonteJCook ...good times, indeed!🎲⚔️🎲

Throwing it back to 30 years when I visited the offices of TSR--then publishers of #dungeonsanddragons --to celebrate the release of a new role-playing setting called Planescape.🎲⚔️ Seen here with TSR staff artist, Alan Pollack (in the TSR art room), Planescape lead designer, @zebcook (at GenCon '96) and game designer (and all around great guy) @ColinMcComb writing in his cubicle at the TSR offices...

@TonyDiTerlizzi It's so weird that Planescape has gotten old while we've stayed exactly the same age.

Sean K Reynolds has moved to BlueSky
Today we wrapped up all the text design for our upcoming modern fantasy book, It's Only Magic, as well as its art order! Time for me to move on to finishing up a Numenera adventure called Print Me Another Body, for Adventures In The Cypher System!

@lucentile Thanks! That was the intention. We had other characters and side things too that had to be cut for space. And of course we had to give the Nameless One a name for the book. Not everyone liked that. 😀

@RayVallese Honestly, with only about 250-300 pages to work with, I think it captures most of it pretty well -- and I particularly like that the ending gives a much more, maybe not "satisfying" but "complete" conclusion for Thane.

@lucentile It . . . worked out as well as possible, which is to say, not very well. People expected the book to be a true novelization of the game and were mad when it wasn't. I understand that.

@RayVallese That makes sense! Thank you! I was curious how doing the novel and the game at the same time worked out, since the publication dates for both were so close.

@lucentile Also, I was recently interviewed (along with the great Monte Cook and Colin McComb) about all things Planescape, including this book. You can check that out here: expositionbreak.com/a-walk-through…. The site also has extensive reviews of EVERY Planescape product!

@lucentile Not sure about the inventor. Maybe Dak'kon invented a juicer on the side and sells it in late-night infomercials. >>

@MattClick I should point out that I was like 8 when I saw the last of the goofy suit movies in the theater. I don't QUITE need a walker yet!

@RayVallese I’ve never seen a Toho Godzilla in the theater, so this was such a treat.

Godzilla Minus One was flawless. Engrossing story with fantastic human characters, incredible music, and it LOOKED great. Might be the definitive Zilla flick for me.

Dog Bus In Alaska, a married couple is engaged in dog walking and supervision of them. To do this, they even purchased a bus to conveniently and safely pick up pets, like children to school. Dogs spend all day together, have fun, eat, and then they are transported to the houses Credits: Pets Arena Pinterest
