Excited to share that my story is featured in this week's edition of Science Magazine! Being able to do my research with my Tribe & in my homelands has been so impactful personally and for my career. It's important for other young Indigenous researches to know it's possible!

Today I completed the Biology of Parasitism (BoP) course at the Marine Biological Lab! I got to learn all things parasite ranging from bioinformatics, cell bio, to immunology, and work with many different parasites. Grateful to all the work that went into this course! #MBLBoP2025

I just started reading a book about Parasites and just when I thought I could read something without anti-Indigenous rhetoric, the first chapter starts by reinforcing the “land bridge theory” and describing my and others’ Indigenous ancestors as “immigrants.” 🫠
