Everyone building AI agents is focusing on building the prefrontal cortex. Planning. Reasoning. Multi-step chains. There's value here. CEO-stuff. But also, a reframe: there is value in building the cerebellum. It's offloading boring tasks into reflex so the complex thought can focus. Your mortgage gets paid by a standing order, not a committee. The things that are not fun, not interesting, but have to be done? Done. Most agent frameworks will fail because they treat all cognition as high cognition. The winners will nail the boring stuff first.

@Neurofluoresce The lovely lady I'm dating is anti AI, but she doesn't try to spoil my fun or stop me from pursuing my ambitions tied to ai. That would actually be grounds for a breakup. I don't associate with luddites. Aside from her, I haven't encountered a reasonable anti AI person. Not one.

I actually fucking hate dealing with anti AI people. An anti AI person saw me be nice to an AI artist and I may as well have dropped the atom bomb.

Data centers revitalize American manufacturing by driving massive demand and upgrading the power infrastructure in former industrial hubs. Building American technological infrastructure is good for America.

here's your universal "Data Center Opposition Excuse Generator." Just pick any lie, repeat it endlessly even though it has already been debunked many times over, and then move on to the next lie. Rinse, wash, and repeat.

Introducing Pentagon: a coordination layer for humans and agents. ASI yields two futures: 1. AI replaces us. 2. AI empowers us to do our greatest work. We're building for the latter. Our first product is Pentagon Studio: pentagon.run An in-depth article below:

25,000 reposts. 4 million views. The truth of this story is that a construction crew hit a power line. The campaign against data centers is an anti-growth moral panic being driven by often anonymous social media accounts and foreign money.

Colossal Biosciences hasn't brought anything back. They take modern animals to use as surrogate species and then Crispr a few parts of their genome to have a few sequences in common with old dna samples from an extinct species. They never fully replicate the full genetic code of the extinct animal - most of the DNA matches modern animals. They're essentially gene splicing new species based on modified modern animals.

NEW: Colossal Biosciences hatches chicks from artificial eggs in a major step toward reviving the extinct 12-foot tall moa bird.

The revealing part is that the same people constantly preaching “compassion,” “equality,” and “empathy” will casually defend Stalin, a regime built on forced starvation, mass imprisonment, executions, censorship, and terror. It exposes that for many of them, “human rights” only apply to people who obey their ideology. Disagree with the collective and suddenly slavery to the state, political purges, and millions dead become “not real socialism” or “nothing wrong.”

There is nothing more powerful than well-informed optimism. It has to be well-informed though. The "everything will be fine" type of optimism may also be somewhat useful, but it's not as useful as the "Hmm, what if we tried x?" kind.

Today I had one idiot “explain” to me that data centers create “light pollution”, and another one explain that they “superheat water”, whatever that might mean. I was also told that they “destroy farmland.” The existing set of invented problems weren’t enough, so the lunatics are off on Reddit forums making up new ones whole cloth. Apparently having the invented problems make coherent sense isn’t even considered valuable anymore, the more bizarre the complaints are, the more they seem to spread among the marching morons. I imagine that very soon we’re going to be told that data centers cause infertility and bad breath.
