@Rayk0h0 @randomfrankp @lofreeco I know what you’re saying and you’re not wrong in principle, but you’ll just have to wait to see what I’m talking about. I own all of the Wooting boards and they’re incredible, love them, but innovation is not done and there are measurable (and demonstrable) gains to be had.

@justnvc @randomfrankp @lofreeco Low profile keyboards have indeed less travel, but you lose all the benefits of high profile keys which means precision when typing or playing with a board.

@Rayk0h0 @randomfrankp @lofreeco Point is, if you reduce the distance before AND after actuation, you are able to naturally react much faster because there’s much less wasted physical movement. You can also make much smaller micro adjustments to line up. Rapid Trigger and significantly reduced depth is $$$.

@justnvc @randomfrankp @lofreeco Well, that's your opinion. I don't share it and most people who've used hall effect keyboards will tell you the same. You can feel the difference in actuation and you HAVE to adapt to the board to make use of the RT and actuation difference. Low profiles keyboard are not a fix.

@justnvc @randomfrankp @lofreeco I understand your point, but setting RT at the correct distance and learning to use it, you tend to activate and deactivate the switch mid press. That's why hall effect keyboard are recommanded mostly for fps use, because that's where you can achieve this kind of usage

@Rayk0h0 @randomfrankp @lofreeco Traditional switches (before mech) actuated when you bottomed out the switch, so there was no extra physical distance to go. RT was built to fix the issue introduced by the mechs actuating mid travel. You don’t technically need aggressive RT if also reduce the depth. Make sense?

@randomfrankp @lofreeco Yeah I guess I should have been more specific, but there are switches that already do what I’m speaking about without o-rings. G515 Rapid TKL at 2.8mm, but that has its own issue with debounce time. Zenaim Keyboard is potentially insane at 1.9mm, but that may also be too shallow.

The iPad's external display support is underrated. I connected my iPad to a Studio Display and ran Workbench. Now my headless Mac mini (back in Minneapolis) is running full-screen on a 27" display in Ohio. Remote Mac on a Studio Display through an iPad. Pretty wild. 🤯

Il faut VRAIMENT qu’Apple mette macOS sur l’iPad. Pas une version lite, macOS adapté à l’iPad. Ici j’ai testé avec la recopie d’écran du Mac mini, l’écran s’est adapté et le tactile fonctionne. C’est absolument génial ! À la limite, pouvoir passer d’iPadOS à une version avec les capacités de macOS en fonction des besoins de l’utilisateur et de ce qu’il recherche. Mais macOS dessus = BANGER ! DO IT JOHN TERNUS !

J’ai testé de jouer en streaming depuis mon PC à ma télé - via le WiFi de mon appart avec le logiciel Moonlight. 4k 60fps. C’est impressionnant, à des années lumières de ce que j’avais testé il y a quelques années aux début de Shadow / GeForce Now.
