App changed its algorithm (or something), so I'm popping up for some folks for the first time. So, hey. Michael Redd here. Maybe you know me from a Final Four run at Ohio State way back. Maybe from Milwaukee, or the 2008 Redeem Team. And plenty of you have no idea who I am. That's cool, too. Since I hung it up I've been building. Mentorship and investments, like the fitness app Ladder. Mostly though I'm hanging with my family. My son's building his own company, my daughter's playing high school tennis, and my wife Achea just wrote a book. I couldn't be prouder of our family. Somewhere in there Ray Allen got me hooked on golf, and he'd tell you I'm still no good at it, though I spend a lot of my down time on it. Sharing sports takes is newer. NBA, WNBA, college, some football and baseball when it grabs me. No plan, nothing to sell. I just like talking good ball with good people. Glad you're here. And if you read this whole thing and didn't keep scrolling, I think we'll get along. Appreciate y'all.

@zyxnix I'm good with the military-industrial complex losing jobs. And the proxy in the Middle East has come with a huge cost for my entire lifetime.

@RaymondInPDX I would say the defense industry is a big supporter of aid to Israel. So, defense industry jobs. Israel used to be our proxy in the Middle East, but nowadays it seems the tail is wagging the dog.

Can anybody tell me what tangible, negative consequence would come from ending aid to Israel? I don't mean political risk with angry voters and donors, I mean real life consequences for our nation and its citizens. Anything? Why do we have to do this? Do we have to do it forever?

@zyxnix Far too many people think they have something interesting to say when they don't. That happens here, too, though and we might also be guilty of it.

Maybe this is an old guy thing, but there's a lot of people doing pod casts that shouldn't be doing pod casts. Isn't the point to be entertaining? Maybe I don't get it. Are we just talking with sponsor junk and nick nacks on the table.
