When Labour ran Harrow Council, getting hold of someone at the council was like trying to get a WiFi signal in a cave. Since 2022 we have reopened the council’s phone like and opened a face to face contact centre in Gayton Road.

Fly-tipping is a disgusting crime. That’s why we are introducing secure storage containers for on street bins as well as boosting enforcement. Since 2022 we’ve issued over 4,000 fines for fly-tipping and increased the fine from £400 to £1,000.

We are bringing in new planning controls on the conversion of family homes into Houses of Multiple Occupancy. These changes will give the council greater control over the location of HMOs and whether they are suitable.

We inherited a huge backlog of road repairs from Labour when we took over Harrow Council in 2022. We have resurfaced many roads, but we know there are still many more to be done. That’s why we’re investing £56 million over the next 4 years to bring our roads up to standard.

Our precious greenbelt and open spaces are the lungs of Harrow. They are under attack from Labour and Reform UK, who want to build on the greenbelt. If Labour gain power our greenbelt and open spaces are at risk.
