@ThourCS2 @CounterStrike It’s weird, it feels better than before, but not as good as it first dropped. Any idea why?

@potatoslav It's such a stupid rhetoric especially in counties where a good amount of electricity is from renewable sources. Ac doesn't generate much heat. It just moves it from inside the house to outside. If the energy comes from solar panels, ac is not bad for climate change.

every person that is anti-AC for climate change reasons should also give up their heater. heating contributes 4x the emissions that cooling does. if you are cold you should simply wear more clothing. this will save the earth and prove that you are Good and Moral.

@Team2Girlbosses @flashtasy @NintenJoee I don't think it's unreasonable for people to believe he used a shock collar. Frankly my politics align with his quite a lot and from the clips I've seen it does seem reasonable to believe that he used the collar. Just cause you like his politics it doesn't make him infallible.

@Noxtradm @Gigabear_X In this context, a hardware fault is just an access violation. When the DMA card tries to read protected memory, the IOMMU blocks it and throws a security error (a fault). Because a hardware device was just blocked from reading memory, Windows crashes (hence the "instability").

So it's false? It's not expected under IOMMU when attempts are made to read protected memory? They just pulled that one out of their ass? Unless there is actual damage (there won't be) there is nothing to sue them over. If you disable IOMMU so you can use the DAM hardware to cheat, you can't play Vanguard games. So don't use DAM cheats and you are safe 👍

Nobody is saying don't ban cheaters. We're saying you, as a corporation, do NOT get to go beyond that outside of the law because of actual malice. And no, ToU don't automatically shield from that.

Thank you all for the feedback. Most of it was positive. This time, I decided to trust the community like you trusted me. I can confidently say now:test the bandwidth setting for yourself. Start at 2.5, then go up until you find your sweet spot.
eugenio8a8@eugenio8a8

Today I want to run a massive test at a scale we haven’t really seen before, and I need everyone’s help. Please test the Bandwidth option by setting it to around 2.5–3 Mbps, then come back here and share your feedback: does the game feel better, more consistent, or smoother?

Okay cheaters, nothing is bricked. Here's a step-by-step guide to cheat in other games with your favorite $6000 cheat device. 1) Turn off IOMMU the same way you enabled it. Great psyop btw, I've never seen fiction move so much faster than fact.

It doesn't matter. Everyone should be allowed to access the memory on the computer they bought to play your games with. It's their computer not yours. Stop doing these things.

Well, that escalated quickly. There’s been a wave of claims by cheaters about Vanguard “bricking” their PCs, so let’s clear that up: Vanguard does not damage hardware or disable your devices. The photo we posted is a picture of cheat hardware devices that are sold explicitly for cheating in VALORANT (not normal PCs or PC components). Through our latest updates, Vanguard now makes those devices worthless for VAL, but does not in any way brick PCs or PC components or PC software. Our latest update enforces standard platform security features, like the Input-Output Memory Management Unit (IOMMU), on accounts identified as using Direct Memory Access (DMA) cheating devices. These protections are already part of modern systems and when enabled, they block DMA cheat devices (such as those shown in the photo) from accessing memory in downstream applications, like our games. If a cheat setup continues attempting to cheat after those protections are enabled, the system may generate hardware faults or instability. This is expected behavior under IOMMU when attempts are made to read protected memory. Disabling IOMMU allows the cheat device to function again, but IOMMU will still be required to play our games. This means the cheat device won’t work with our games, but your PC isn’t “bricked.” We would not, and cannot, impact your PC’s functionality in any other fashion. This functionality only applies to systems attempting to use DMA cheat devices, and players who are not using DMA-based cheat setups are not affected. We’ll keep investing in anti-cheat to protect competitive integrity, and we’ll keep being as transparent as possible about how those systems work.

@eugenio8a8 I don't think the comparison with Arduino baud rate applies when it comes to cs2 packets. When you configure a baud rate for a microcontroller over a serial connection, you are setting the exact physical clock timing for high/low voltage signals.

I think Europeans take for granted living in Europe. You can just buy a ticket on a whim to fly to Greece, Italy, France, England, Slovenia, Croatia, Malta, whatever takes your fancy, for a quick weekend getaway. Often for really cheap too via Ryanair, like way cheaper than Spirit was. I just bought a ticket to Rome from Barcelona for ~€40. 🤯 And you don't even need a passport. Many Europeans don't even have a passport due to the Schengen Area. In the US, if you fly 3 hours away, you end up in freaking Topeka, Kansas with nothing to do. In Europe, you could end up in the Swiss Alps, the Mediterranean coast, quaint Italian towns, French vineyards, the Eiffel Tower, the freaking Colosseum, etc. etc.

@Anthonio176 @aruvinchan The largest source of undocumented migrants in the EU isn't actually people crossing boarders illegally. It’s people who arrive legally on tourist or work visas and simply overstay them. And that number is still low as a percentage compared to the number of legal immigrants.

@aruvinchan The Schengen area is an amazing idea but it makes no sense without strong external border controls. And if you oppose open borders they'll tag you as 'far-right', 'extremist' and 'racist'

@SirDon647206 @2yung4dis @777nineveh @Y40IFRQTTING No one said they weren't under Ottoman control. I said the 33% population stat is fake. Go learn how to read before typing. And learn the difference between being part of an empire and being the vassal state of that empire. By that logic, the UK was 80% Indian in the 19th century

@2yung4dis @SirDon647206 @777nineveh @Y40IFRQTTING Where did I claim they weren't controlled by the Ottoman empire? The initial claim that I said was bullshit was this: "They were the largest ethnic group in the Ottoman Empire at about a third of the population" Which is factually wrong. @SirDon647206 @777nineveh @Y40IFRQTTING Yes, a vassal. For 400 years. That’s literally the point. Romania paid tribute to keep their own borders, laws, religion, and rulers, which is why they were never directly integrated into the empire or transformed into Ottoman pashaliks.

@turcicvm @777nineveh @Y40IFRQTTING You're completely missing the point. I'm not denying the 400 years of subjugation as tributary status. The point was that claiming Romanians made up one-third of the Ottoman Empire's population is demographically impossible fiction. It's just not true lmao.

@RazvanTrifu @777nineveh @Y40IFRQTTING Yeah 445 years of subjugation definitely does not mean anything right? Also, you telling the history in a way to make it seem less important is also another ego boost. Eflâk and Boğdan was tributary and heavily influenced vassals of the Devlet’i Aliyye for nearly 5 centuries.
