@MadelaineLucyH People love to do that, don’t they? I have grown up in Canada so I certainly don’t self identify as European but I wasn’t born here so I often say my family is British ( I have lived here my entire living memory). In UK, they normally ask if I am American.

Americans are so cute with their heritage stuff. Here in Europe you stop claiming heritage from somewhere after about 3 generations. If I went to Belgium and went 'I'm actually Belgian, my great, great, great great aunt lived here!' they'd be like :) ok weirdo

@TheChaosWeeber Why? They’d be indoctrinated too? I thought universities taught freedom of thought, not cow tow the accepted mindset. Things sure have changed, maybe not for the better. I am not a conservative but I don’t need to insist everyone needs to think like me.

@Dunca_Buchanan @YoungStreete Yes my wife is ugly because I don’t agree Canada is a horrible place. Focus isn’t your thing I guess, along with making a shred of sense. Canada may not be horrible but I’ll give you one thing: it’s full of retards.

It’s amazing how many Canadians, using this app, get insanely offended when you point out Canada’s areas of weakness - like declining standard of living, declining productivity, declining healthcare access and soaring youth unemployment. Apparently, advocating for a stronger and more prosperous Canada makes you public enemy number one.

@Symply_rhoda1 I enrolled my kid in Tar Kwon Do. Is that allowed or am I “part of the problem”. Here’s an idea. Try parenting and telling your kid to keep their hands to themselves. It’s advice that either the parent is going to tell a violent kid or a judge eventually will.

Parents, please stop sending your kids to school with the mindset of “if someone hits you, hit them back.” You are part of the problem.

@YoungStreete Yes, the world is in a slump for a variety of reasons. I am not sure why you believe we should be exceptional? I am also not sure if the government being different would make a tremendous amount of difference given our challenges (even if I didn’t vote for the one we have).

So your argument is that because other counties around the world are doing poorly, it’s ok for Canada to be doing poorly too? 14.2% youth unemployment, declining standard of living, record food banks using and rising crime. All issues tied to federal government polices. You may want to settle for less and be happy, I choose not to.

If Canada decides that compulsory conscription is necessary, we will be leaving within days. There is absolutely zero chance that I will be allowing my children to be forced to fight for a government who does not represent them or our values.
Matt Alexander@RealMattA_

Canada is on the road to compulsory military service. Conscription is on the books for our political and military planners. Remember the 300 000 strong 'civil service' reserve force? Canada has consulted Finland (conscription) for advice and now NATO recommendeds it. Germany is already restricting the travel of its young men. Stop the war machine. LOST FREEDOM FILES # 4021

@Chris__X__ That probably explains why our kids are that way: I know I swore I would never be like my father. Funnily enough, my father commented one day how great we have been with our kids. He regretted some of his decisions back then. My son has always been pretty balanced.

@travelingflying It’s actually true that Nero had his slave Sporus castrated as he thought the boy was his dead wife reincarnated. He then married his slave. The senate thought he was mad and eventually sought his arrest after he murdered countless patrician Romans.

Children in the UK are being taught that Stonehenge was built by Black people and that slaves had their body parts altered as a form of gender transition. The UK has fallen.

@BartemyS Oh well, then you’re probably old enough to remember young people resenting older generations (ie “Never trust anyone over 30”). Part of being young although I never begrudged older people quite so much back then but we didn’t have the web to complain to either as a teen.

My high school dropout boomer parents got married at 18 and 17 and lived in a cold water (no hot water) flat in the core city of St. Louis. They had three kids and rented apartments for 17 years before they bought their first modest home. They both worked multiple jobs and drove beater cars or took the city bus. AND they were thankful because they didn't have to do all of that during the depression which was worse. This was the common experience of most of our neighbors as well. That's why they were called working class. You are so spoiled and pampered you have no idea. Sit down and shut up You can complain and blame others or you can work your rear off for decades with no vacation.
Jess@jessgill03

It’s insane how little compassion so many boomers have for young people.

The thing I’ve learnt recently, through all the hate I’m getting on this timeline. The British love Americans, we just don’t like your present cult leadership. Sadly Americans now HATE all British people because their government tells them too. That’s the difference.

@sheismommy_ That nugget of wisdom that set you off wasn’t exactly well written. It’s ragebait that worked on you although I do appreciate that you stepped up for us atheists. After seeing how some fellow atheists spent the weekend taunting and mocking Christian people, I’m not surprised.

I’m not atheist but this is the laziest most illogical thought process I’ve ever seen. You as a Christian yourself don’t have a single sliver of proof that God exists other than a book telling you he/she does. You say this but most criminals are either Christian or religious. What excuse do you have for them, who still commit the most grievous sins while believing in God as opposed to the majority of atheists who last I checked are actually good people. Would it not be easier for them to continue doing what they’re doing while asking for forgiveness and accepting something out of blind faith? The fact that you choose to blindly believe a religion brought to you by human beings just like you telling you outlandish tales of a being you’ve never experienced instead of questioning that existence makes YOU the lazy one not them. Lastly if you have to tie your morality to the existence of a divine being then you’re not exactly good, you’re just afraid of the consequences mentioned if you don’t behave a certain way. Let that sink in.
K💞🥂@Thepweetymiss

A lot of people will come for me but Atheism stems from a place of laziness. You just want to sin without feeling accountable to any entity, you know deep down that a God exists but it’s just easier to ignore his existence.

I'm just finding out that a lot of you all wash your underwear with your clothes. And when it comes to body chemistry... I think that's just kind of nasty. To me, that's my personal opinion. I've always been taught to separate them... 🤷🏾‍♀️

@FarmGirlCarrie Item of clothing, not a holy relic. Airport security has made me take off my western boots and walk in socked feet to the end of the conveyor belt to get them back. I didn’t love it either but I didn’t think they did it because they hate cowboys.

@guyfelicella A lot of them are treated like they’re crazy, not lazy. Having said that, there are far too many mentally unstable people left to fend for themselves. I personally wish we could opt a small portion of our taxes to help fund solutions to things citizens find important.

@JeffreyLuscombe Have you ever known a Canadian who went to Idaho for a vacation? If that’s all you have to be proud of (wrong facts), I can see why. A lot of Americans seem to believe it’s illegal here or unpopular to have a rifle. I guess they think we just print hunting licenses for them?

The day my doubt became real that god could be a fiction, I simply went on the net to get a confirmation of any miracle that had been captured on camera. This was make-or-break point for me as a truth-seeker. It is totally inconceivable that the god described in the Bible cannot perform even ONE irrefutable miracle to be captured on camera. I saw nothing. It was the last sniffing out of a dying ember. In the absence of such a low threshold of evidence, your faith just has no option but to die a natural death.
Dee 🌹@DeeWaynee94

Mad how biblical god went from splitting seas, killing armies and dropping fire from the sky to doing absolutely nothing modern that can survive a camera angle, a lab test, or a hospital ward.
