There are so many things i want to see in part 2. the first is me hearing the word "muad'dib". I don't wanna wait 3 years to learn how wrong i am pronouncing it. (yes i could go the audio books but the movie pronounced things different then the audiobooks)

The first episode of Dune Prophecy is amazing. At first, I'll admit, I wasn't too excited to learn about The Sisterhood because I found it insignificant to whole plot of what we know of Dune. Now, I believe the Bene Gessirit had just as much influence as spice on Arrakis

When Paul threatens to destroy the spice fields in the book & the Guild Navigators confirm he will, everyone in the throne room understands the consequences: a new dark age of sublight travel. The movie didn't convey this.

Just finished my second IMAX watch of Part 2. And this might be slightly biased, but Dune part 1&2 might be the best sci-fi movie(s) of the last decade. The LOTR comparisons are spot on.

@ReadingDune The music in this clip is stunning, and it works its way though pt 2 to the end, but guess what. It is the same melody the “bagpipes” play when they arrive on Arrakis in Pt 1.

@ReadingDune I found I needed the first viewing to wash all the other versions and my pre-conceptions out of my head. The second viewing I was so much more able to focus on Villeneuve’s telling of the story.

So I am SOOOO fascinated what we're going to think of the full trilogy after we see Messiah. You and I both know that there's a WHOOLLLLEEEEEE lot of people who still do not understand what they are watching here and when Messiah hammers it home will they stand by the trilogy or be upset at the result?
