Jeremy Clarkson has officially won his battle with West Oxfordshire District Council to keep the 170-space car park at The Farmer’s Dog. Planning officer Kelly Murray admitted that the pub attracts an "unusual level of traffic" and conceded that blocking the car park would only cause dangerous roadside chaos. She ultimately ruled that "the public interest in granting permission outweighs any slight harm caused," securing the pub's future against the "muddy chaos" that had plagued the village of Asthall.
