@RyanTanaka You might think that Darth Vader is the best too but he was clearly the bad guy. Unless you want Vader to bring order to the galaxy.

I don't understand how people can be so brainwashed to think Elon is the bad guy, when he's literally *the best* guy.

“Wasn’t a business calculation” is the problem. All the crazy things he did before were a business calculation. He slept on the production line floor to accelerate development for business reasons. He brought in gigacasting for business reasons. When there is no business reason and revenue tanks that’s the opposite of what a CEO should do.

@RealCanuck MAGA doesn’t buy EVs much, they are told EVs don’t work and we need fossil fuels This wasn’t a business calculation, just something Elon felt he had to do personally for better or for worse.

Sad to see so many fans trashing Tesla with such extreme language. LIARS!!! PATHETIC!!! And if you aren’t as furious and angry as they are they are you’re “worshipping” and saying “they can do no wrong”. Let’s get real here. They’re not liars. They offered FSD transfer to us to sell more cars this quarter, and were even gracious enough to say if we can’t deliver it in time for the end of the quarter you can still do the transfer. But what they never promised is that we’ll let you transfer FSD through the end of 2027. Who knows, maybe they will offer FSD transfer in 2027, but they did not expect a 1 year+ Cybertruck backlog when they made the FSD transfer option. They meant if your delivery slips into April and it’s Tesla’s fault you still get your transfer. And they’re still honoring that: if you get a car with an estimated delivery date this quarter you can still transfer even if the delivery date slips into April. What a lot of people are missing is that we are now in the unsupervised FSD era. Many of these one year out Cybertruck reservations will be delivered with unsupervised FSD, where Tesla takes liability for any accidents. That doesn’t work out well financially if tons of people aren’t paying for FSD on their new cars. Look, I agree. I think Tesla should honor the transfer for people who want. I would like that and maybe even use it personally. But what i’m not really a fan of is the dramatization and people acting like spoiled kids over something pretty minor. The Tesla team and the Tesla community have allowed me to make a living doing what I love. The FSD product has changed my life for the better and keeps my friends and family safe. I love Tesla and while criticism is warranted sometimes the hatred here, towards both Tesla and others in the community, is a little over the top. In a way, it has actually created a moral hazard for Tesla. If they bend to pressure with people abusing them and trashing them publicly, then people will abuse and trash them publicly any time they want a policy changed. I think respectfully asking Elon & Tesla for a policy change here would go a long way more than calling them liars and cheaters just for trying to sell cars this quarter. Wake up guys. Tesla is in trouble. Sales are down year over year. People are pulling out of EV investments around the globe. Remember when people wanted to see EVs succeed rather than just worrying about getting things without having to pay for them? Call me what you want, but i’m going to tell people how great EVs are and how much self-driving will change their life. Telling them Tesla is horrible and evil is a lie that will keep them stuck in a shitty cars. EVs are getting attacked from every angle, why do we have to join in too? Thank you to those who are supporting Tesla, EVs, and AVs during this critical time.

Crazy to block people over this, but I don't need to be involved with people that want to worship a corporation and say they can do no wrong.

Ok so trust in The Profit is your answer. As an engineer, I need more than that. Tesla is one of the most well capitalized companies in the world. It seems to me they can produce vehicle for everyone and go after autonomy and influence politics (behind the scenes) at the same time. No need to vilify huge groups of people to achieve those goals IMO. It’s also hitting Tesla’s bottom line. When I called this out a year ago I was told by many that MAGA would make up for lost revenue. So where are they?

@wholemars I’m behind Tesla’s stated goal of transitioning to sustainable energy 100%. Explain to me how turning away half the customer base is a good strategy? I want more people transitioning not less and it seems like we are going backwards here.

@wholemars Furthermore, it is insane for a CEO to piss off half your customers (actually more because truck people will never really embrace EVs). Nobody does this because it’s stupid. Usually CEOs are trying to increase their customer base, not decrease it.

The dictator is dead, but the dictatorship isn't: the IRGC have 190,000 active personnel. Taking them out will be a lot harder, I think.

For all of those losing their minds over Canadian Conservatives calling for the prompt deportation of convicted foreign criminals: it’s the policy of the Swedish socialist government, for goodness sake. Sometimes I’m astonished by how much of the Canadian commentariat can ramp itself into a moral panic over completely sensible, broadly supported ideas. Like the idea that foreign nationals who have abused our generosity and broken our laws should be promptly removed.

@tboon007 @coreyhoganyyc You might ask why did Martin choose 2007 as his baseline? See the image for why. Investment dropped by more than half from 2007-2009. Were the liberals in government during this time? Bullshitters use stats out of context to push their BS narrative. A PP specialty.

Pierre loves nothing more than getting a report and looking for noise within the signal, pockets of bad news in the overall good story. GDP growth for 2025 was 1.7% - right on expectation. In 2025 Canada also created more jobs than the U.S., despite the U.S.' larger size. In 2025 we also saw the most foreign direct investment in Canada in 18 years. Housing starts are up. Housing prices are down. Wages have grown faster than inflation every month Mark Carney has been Prime Minister. This is despite an ongoing trade war that we are more exposed to than any other nation: 71% of our exports go to the United States and the next closest G7 country is Japan at 19%. Minister LeBlanc is in the U.S. right now working on a trade deal, looking to improve on what is already the best effective tariff rate in the world. The Prime Minister is in India right now, looking to add to the twelve new trade and security deals he's already signed. We'll keep managing the moment now and keep setting Canada up for a more diversified and more stable future. Pierre can keep doing this 👇, but it isn't helping a soul.
Pierre Poilievre@PierrePoilievre

April 26, 2025, the Liberal Party promised a Mark Carney-led government would “build the fastest growing economy in the G7.” Today we learned 👇

lol. When you visit someone’s nice house, you probably go out to the trash can and take a photo of the inside and tell all our friends how smelly the house was. There are millions of people in Vancouver happily living their lives in this beautiful place and you show a photo of the worst part. Your friends must think you are so fun.

His immigration status has no bearing on his sentence. Just read the actual case. The judge found that immigration arguments from the defence were not a valid reason for conditional discharge. [40]      Given the aggravating factors in the case before me, I find a conditional discharge would be contrary to the public interest and would fail to suitably address the principles of general deterrence and denunciation.  A discharge allows for an offender to avoid a criminal conviction.  Future employers of Mr. Singh should be aware that he committed this offence in the course of his employment.  A custodial sentence is required.  The issue is whether it can be served in the community. canlii.org/en/on/oncj/doc…
