@ItsCruton I think some of it comes down to when you are in a chat of 75+ messages get missed or sometimes the streamer wont read most of chat. Also when its a smaller stream, it feels a bit more intimate with the creator.

My path to getting Twitch Partner I realized something that honestly confused me. The OG viewers I use to have everyday, the more I grew on twitch the more of them left, there reasoning was because I was getting ‘Too Big’. They didn’t like the fact that I was growing as a streamer, and after I got Twitch partner my whole community was of people that I didn’t really know too well, the core audience before that major growth was gone. So what’s the reasoning behind people not wanting to see someone grow, I feel like seeing it first hand would excite me and make me so proud of someone who was working hard. I learned personally that’s not the case for many, they enjoy the you with around 10-20 avg, they would never watch the you that gets 75+ avg. I say all this to let you guys know, work on the craft you want, do the things you enjoy, because you never truly know who will be there once you cross the finish line.

@DontPokeTBear @velixray Sometimes though what they are discussing can be extremely triggering for the streamer also. Yes we are there to entertain, but not at the jeopardy of our own mental health. Sharing is ok, but being able to say no is just as ok if its going to cause you more damage.

Sick of seeing streamers telling chatters “No trauma dumping” . Stop that you pretentious fkwits. You literally work in a job entertaining people who believe watching you is the best use of their time in that moment. Spend 2 seconds letting them know that you don’t feel qualified to be able to offer them advice and if you feel extra kind direct them to their country’s support service line. Be a good human. You could genuinely save a life. The world needs to be encouraged to talk about their feelings; that doesn’t mean to expect that anyone else will be able to solve them; but that others will hear them & not turn away.

From Cancer scares to my Kidney constantly trying to kill me, these past 3 years have been tough. I've always used creating content as a way to distract myself and keep busy but I haven't even been able to do that. (My social presence and activity has taken a massive hit because of this) Although I've said it before (And I hope I'm not jynxing myself) but I'm finally feeling pretty good. It's the best I've felt in a long while and I'm now dedicated more than ever to push myself as a person, as a father and as a creator. I'm looking forward to being busy again and to create/share and inspire to the best of my ability. ♥️ Don.
