To clear some confusion, I have a degenerative vision desease called Stargardt, which on its own isn't harmful whatsoever but isn't treatable. Therefore anyone with the desease can still do normal things like read, drive etc. I somehow managed to be the only worldwide patient with a unique combination of 3 eye mutations, causing me to lose over 80% of my vision over the course of a decade. People finally need to understand that blindess is a spectrum, just like any other disability.

@BajiHQ @Hemifuu1 My fully blind students love social media. You have a on screen reader and now there's AI to interpret videos and pictures so they can fully (somewhat) enjoy that as well. They can even use the ai to navigate unfamiliar environments. It's come a long way and is really cool.

@Hemifuu1 I feel you, I wasJust making sure since I see a lot of grifting around it. I myself went from 80% vision to about 2% on one eye. Luckily my other is alright enough, only going to about 40%.

I can’t drive. My doctors made it clear to me when I got dignosed. There are many things I can’t do the same way I used to though. I can’t clean my house properly, I can’t go outside by myself and can’t see price tags on items at stores. It’s a lot of small things that make the problem bigger from my experience.

They did fire the best talent as well, Froskurinn, Ender, Quickshot, Nymaera, and brought in total hacks (GB & Giniro etc). Whilst ignoring Troubleinc. Started having less Medi/Vedi (best duo) so the casters loose power. Current talent is pretty good, but it's not the goats.

My falloff with league started with the death of NA, them moving times and then fucking themselves even more by moving to less friendly EU time made me drop the region. For LEC it was the gradual shitification of the broadcast. No more fun cold opens, less sidecontent.

The product has just gone down hill with riot cutting budget. The talent has talent and are clearly trying their best. I think league should just have a p2v model already. Let me pay 5-10$/month so I can get Vedi and Drakos writing again. It was the peak. It wasn't about G2. #LEC

Esports has an identity problem and it will suffer until we've solved it. For years we’ve tried to package it like traditional sports with jerseys, calling players athletes, commentators in suits and events and broadcast sets built to look like the Premier League or NBA. But the reality is, esports fans aren’t sports fans. In fact, most care less about sports than the average person. So why are we still building products that look and feel like something they never wanted in the first place? Fans in esports don’t stay loyal to teams the way football fans do. They follow games, stories and when a game shifts, so do they. We can try to fix it but that's the reality of how the ecosystem works. There's no point in fighting it or trying to fit it into something it's not. The problem is that our industry keeps forcing a sports template onto an audience that doesn’t relate to it. We act surprised when loyalty is weak, when trophies and results don’t build community and when fans don’t spend. We’re building for the wrong customer. Esports isn’t like traditional sports. Sure, it has a big competitive element, but really it’s about culture, entertainment and community. If we want to build something sustainable, we need to stop copying and start creating products that actually feel authentic to gamers; content that entertains, not just recaps wins and losses, events that are underground and authentic, not the next Superbowl.
