If this ball comes out at the same time without McMillian stripping it, it's incomplete. EVERY TIME. End of story.
You have to finish the catch. Interception is the right call.
@RealJaredGasz@TLawwwwwww@MillsTwitch Mimms completed A and B.
He completed B by getting 2 feet down in bounds and 2 feet down out of bounds. The 2 extra feet he got down completed the football move.
At the point the catch is completed and anything after is irrelevant since he already crossed goal line and is OB
@RealJaredGasz@TLawwwwwww@MillsTwitch Let’s start here. Do you understand the difference between a “football move” and “surviving the ground”?
When you catch the ball you need to:
A. Get two feet down
B. Make a football move OR survive the ground
Cooks did A, but did not complete B
@RealJaredGasz@TLawwwwwww@MillsTwitch You only have to survive the ground if you don’t make a football move. He DID make a football move by getting 4 feet down. It’s fairly simple
@RealJaredGasz@TLawwwwwww@MillsTwitch See how much longer Shakir had the ball for? He was sliding on the ground with it for like 5ft lol. As soon as Cooks touched ground he started to lose it
@RealJaredGasz@TLawwwwwww@MillsTwitch Because he already had 4 feet down and made a football move by the time the ball hit the ground. He did the “football move” part and had already completed the catch
@RealJaredGasz@TLawwwwwww@MillsTwitch Control does not mean it’s a catch. He needs control + football move OR control + surviving the ground.
He didn’t neither
@Ricky190419124@TLawwwwwww@MillsTwitch He had the ball in his chest on the ground and was touched by the defender. So by rule he’s down by contact then the db rips the ball out. This is the first time in nfl history where this wasn’t called a catch
@RealJaredGasz@TLawwwwwww@MillsTwitch That he never completed the catch…. He had his hands on the ball for less than 2 seconds. We see this happen all the time when defenders hit a WR and jar the ball loose before he makes a football move. Incomplete every time
