Insurance negotiated it down to $97,000 out of pocket. He's 65. He'll die still paying this off. in every other developed country, this bill is $0. We don't have a healthcare system. We have a hostage situation.

If nobody would tip, employer would have to pay each worker at least minimum wage (state or federal, whichever is higher). But if you tip, employer can deduct tips from his payroll obligation using "tip credit" system all the way down to as low as $2,13/h. Which basically means you are paying more for the food and at the same time lowering restaurant owners payroll expense.

You cant't say that based only on their word alone. People will say the most ridiculous nuclear tier cope things to make them "look good" in social setting and to feel better about themselves. Nobody will say publicly they regret having children because they will be perceived as "bad people". Another great example is having a severely disabled child and telling everyone how you would not want the child to be any other way because he/she is such a sunshine of their lives. Then permanently sticking it into a care facility because "they want the best life for him/her and people there are professionals and know what he/she needs". At least be honest you don't want to deal with it because its exhausting and depressing, I could at least respect the honest answer
