Preach. I remember the nail in the coffin of my military career. After three years of searching for answers, a Naval doctor told me, and I quote, “you have been a high-performing woman in a male dominated career field for many years, maybe this is your body‘s way of saying it’s time to retire.“ Or, as Massachusetts General Hospital later diagnosed, I had a brain infection. #Lyme Modern medicine really does not like patients who do not fit into a box.

⚠️ PBS just dropped a great piece on the exploding tick threat. Ticks are spreading to new regions across America, bringing not just Lyme (half a million cases/year) but other scary illnesses like Alpha-gal syndrome, a potentially lifelong allergy to red meat triggered by lone star tick saliva. 😱
