@kdoglias @ashrobin I dunno what to tell you. I’m not a vendor (yet I guess?) but I get full value for the cards I’m selling. I set up an LLC and established myself with 100+ sales and reviews on TCG/eBay in about a months time. I buy collections that have cards I like and flip the rest like I said

@RealMikeHonch0 @ashrobin That doesn't work, people know the worth of the cards, but typically just face book market place and price at 90% and it will sell, and if it's a hot card 100% is fine. But vendors never pay 100% otherwise how are they going to make money

one of the biggest inefficiencies in the Pokemon card market is the fact that normal people (anyone who isn't a vendor) can almost NEVER get FULL market value for whatever their cards are worth if you're new to Pokemon you may not know this, but if you've been around you already know what I mean let's say you buy a card from someone for $500 then lets say that card goes up to $650 in price if you want to sell that card, the MOST you're going to get is 87% if you sell it on eBay, and if you try to sell it in person you're only going to get offered 80% so if you buy a card at $500, and sell it on eBay for $650, you're only getting $560 if you try to sell it in person, you get even less than $560 vendors are usually very strict when it comes to these percentages too whenever they have a card to sell, they always list it at the highest possible price but whenever they are buying cards they always try to buy them at the absolute lowest percentage possible if you're a collector and you simply don't care about pricing or anything like that, then this doesn't really matter but if you're a trader, it matters I personally find this to be one of the most interesting things about the Pokemon card economy, and I wonder how long it stays this way

@generalsteez69 @AGPamBondi Man I miss the days when the internet wasn’t all intentionally wrong rage bait content to drive engagement. Too many stupid people still listen to people like you who don’t understand laws or consequences.

I’m not a “work from home” guy by any means. But I’ve done it a bit lately and it’s certainly nice to see my family during the day. I can see why it’s so popular. But, and it’s a big but, my productivity is unquestionably lower. There’s just no substitute for the office.

@SenTedCruz The democrat shutdown? That’s weird, I am pretty sure there are multiple parties working in Washington and generally if you can’t agree on something mutually you’re both at fault. Figure your shit out and stop blaming someone else. It’s your fault too you pig.

Let me explain what just happened 👇 5 minutes before the President announced a halt to attacks on Iran… someone placed a $1.5 BILLION bet on stocks going up and dumped $192 million in oil. 5 minutes… These trades were 4 to 6 times larger than anything else in the entire market. Whoever did this wasn’t guessing. You don’t risk $1.5 billion on a hunch. There was zero public indication this announcement was coming. No leaks. No press. Nothing. The only people who knew were in the room when the decision was made. Someone in that room picked up a phone. And within minutes they made more money than most Americans will earn in a thousand lifetimes. In a single trade. On a war that cost you $4+ a gallon gas and $16 billion in tax dollars. American citizens funded this war. Politicians are profiting from it. This is not the first time. Every major announcement from this administration has had massive suspicious trades right before it dropped. Tariff reversals. Policy shifts. War decisions. This is the most blatant insider trading operation in the history of American politics. It’s not even close. And it’s happening over and over in broad daylight. You would go to federal prison for trading on a tip from your cousin. These people are front running war decisions with billion dollar bets and nobody will ever ask a single question. Nobody will be investigated. Nobody will be charged. By tomorrow this will be buried under the next satisfying headline. Just like last time. And the time before that. The game is rigged. And they’re not even trying to hide it anymore…

BREAKING: Just five minutes before Trump's announcement to halt the attacks on Iran, massive trades reportedly hit the market. In one move, $1.5 billion in S&P 500 (ES) futures was bought while $192 million in oil (CL) futures was sold. These orders were 4–6x larger than anything else at the time. The trader seemingly made huge gains. Unusual.

@AustinTani How do you think? They scalp and/or have scalper friends or maybe not even friends but random people who scalp and go back to a specific vendor that will always give them a guaranteed flip.

@Lewsiphur @aduwaye77 It's nearly impossible for me to keep a physical card in mint condition. Physical collectibles deteriorate. My NFTs are always in mint condition. Attrition still happens through people losing their assets. Digital Collectibles have still not fully had their time under the sun.

🚨 MOM WALKS INTO A SPORTING GOODS STORE AND LOSES HER MIND AFTER SEEING A $500 KIDS BASEBALL BAT — “THIS IS PRICE GOUGING” A mom filming inside a sporting goods store says she thought she was just grabbing a bat for her kid’s season. Then she checked the price tags. One bat on the rack: $500. Right next to it: $450. Then she looks at baseball mitts. One youth glove: $330. “I don’t care what the material is … unless it’s made out of solid gold it ain't worth $300." Next she checks the equipment bags. $450. Parents watching the video say youth sports equipment prices are getting completely out of control. Some say it’s starting to feel less like inflation and more like straight up price gouging targeting families. Between bats, gloves, bags, cleats, and league fees, some parents say a single baseball season can now cost thousands of dollars. Are sports stores price gouging parents… or is this just the new normal?

One of Musk's DOGE bros explains how he flagged "DEI" grants for termination

Yes, this is accurate. The clip is from a March 2026 deposition of Justin Fox, a former DOGE staffer assigned to the National Endowment for the Humanities. He confirmed his role flagging grants with DEI keywords (e.g., LGBTQ, prison abolition, marginalized voices in history) for termination under Trump's executive order. DOGE used ChatGPT scans plus staff judgment to identify them as ineligible. The lawsuit by humanities groups details this process.
