We decided to pay a visit to Columbus Global Home Health Services, registered to Nuro Omar, we have a few questions about their business. Our reporter was immediately cursed at and told to leave before he could ask anything at all. As he exited, he recorded. As shown, he was followed out of the business by three people, very aggressively, menacingly. Here is how that went.

🚨 MORE DEI IN OHIO CURRICULUM An undercover video by @AccuracyInMedia shows a BGSU professor admitting courses were renamed to comply with state law, but still include DEI content due to accreditation requirements. He also says the university feels “compelled” to push DEI given its student population. At the same time, a new report finds major Ohio law schools still require DEI coursework to graduate through ABA standards. Despite new laws, the fight over DEI in higher ed is far from over.

Ballot drop boxes are becoming a talking point in Ohio’s Secretary of State race. Republicans like Robert Sprague and Marcell Strbich are calling for them to be eliminated, citing security concerns. On the other side, Democrats including Allison Russo and Bryan Hambley support keeping them. Election officials say the boxes are secure and monitored, while the debate continues to grow heading into the election.

An Ohio Democrat has introduced a bill to legalize physician-assisted death for terminally ill patients. Supporters argue it gives people dignity and control at the end of life. Opponents (including religious and medical groups) warn it could lead to dangerous consequences for vulnerable patients and blur the line between care and ending life. With strong Republican opposition, the proposal is expected to face an uphill battle in the legislature. ohio.news/stories/make-o…

Ohio State scandal and a new university job?! 🤔 Chris Kabourek, a former Ohio State official tied to the Ted Carter / JobsOhio controversy, has landed a top role as CFO at West Virginia University, just days before a 47-page report detailed his role in failing to stop (and even enabling) an abuse-of-power situation. The report says he went “far beyond any other employee” in supporting questionable actions… yet WVU’s announcement makes no mention of it. Fail upward? Or just business as usual in higher ed leadership? Full story 👇 ohio.news/stories/ohio-s…

Rep. Greg Landsman’s fundraising is heavily backed by out-of-state money. New FEC data shows over 85% of his Q1 2026 donations came from outside Ohio, including more than $156K from California alone compared to just over $113K from Ohio donors. Landsman, a former Nancy Pelosi aide, continues to rely on national donor networks as he heads into a tough reelection battle in a district that’s trending Republican. ohio.news/stories/rep-gr…

A key figure at JobsOhio is stepping down after more than a decade. Kristi Clouse, a founding leader who helped shape the organization’s talent strategy, will leave her role May 1. Her departure comes at a time when JobsOhio is facing increased scrutiny over a $60K podcast payment tied to the recent OSU leadership controversy - though officials maintain her exit is unrelated. Clouse played a major role in workforce and economic development efforts across the state, but critics continue to question JobsOhio’s transparency, spending, and job creation claims. Her departure adds another layer to the ongoing debate over how the organization is operating and who’s holding it accountable.
