@Apologetics941 The benefit we have is that there are numerous records of LDS literature. A constant walking contradiction of hodge-podge theology. Joseph Smith Jr. had "revelations" of convenience. Nothing real and nothing true.

@JasontheLayman They ask, "Have you read the Book of Mormon and prayed to God and ask if it were true?" Me: "Yes and Yes. He told me that the Book of Mormon is a lie and that Joe Smith Jr. was a false prophet."

The evolution of an LDS elder’s pleading: 1. We're Christians just like you. Please join us at our church this Sunday. 2. Read our Book of Mormon, it will increase your faith. 3. Wait, you still have doubts about the historicity of our book? Did you pray and ask God to help you believe? 4. Here, read our other scriptures, too. 5. You still don't believe? It will certainly help if you study the history of our church from our perspective. You should read the Joseph Smith papers and some of the founding members' diaries. 6. You still don't believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet? Well, the spirit bears witness to me that he is! You are contentious! The sad reality is, after spending dozens of hours pouring over their heretical writings, they won't give you five minutes to explain yourself. I keep hoping and praying that soon God will open their eyes and ears to the Truth. The LDS have been deceived into following a false prophet.

315,569,520 seconds. 5,259,492 mins. 87,658 hours. 3,652 days. 521 weeks. 120 months. 10 years. That is how long my best friend, amazing wife, caring and loving mother has been SOBER! It has been special to see this journey you have taken from the first photo when you are in rehab to the last photo this past weekend. It has not been easy or smooth sailing to see the person you are now but you have taken everything you have learned at rehab, have used those skills, developed more skills, taken it one day at a time and now have grown and evolved into who you are 10 years later. The journey and path is never over for someone in recovery but I know you are stronger than ever and will be able to tackle any challenge that may arise in the future. The kids and I are so proud of you! Keep going! One day at a time! We love you! ❤️😘 To anyone who is struggling with addiction, let me say that life on the other side, the sober side…. is amazing and achievable. I’ve seen it first hand with my wife but also with my other friends. I’ve also been lucky enough to meet so many amazing people over the last 10 years that are living a life like my wife. Sober. Happy. Enjoying life. And also telling me that they could never imagine life could be like this when they were in the thralls of their addiction. Sobriety is possible. You have to want it. Your loved ones can only do so much. You first have to admit that you have a problem, an addiction, and you want to get sober. Once you do that, there are millions of people who are living a sober life that want to help other people live sober. You have to ask for help. Whether it be loved ones or someone in the sober community. I’ve been lucky to be part of this community with my wife and it’s an amazing, loving, caring community. There is no judgement. Everybody’s ego is checked at the door. All they want is to help one another on their path of sobriety. Addiction doesn’t have to be a life sentence. You just have to want to be sober. Nobody can want it more than you. There are people out there wanting to help but you have to take the first step. Wishing everyone who is dealing with addiction that they find the path to sobriety. ❤️ @britthorschel

@Johnny_Joey @SenDuckworth I am both an active Army reserve and Orthopedic Surgery PA working at the VA. The community care (MISSION act) option has been a blessing to our patients that live great distances from the nearest facility for care.

Wow, @SenDuckworth just said it plainly. She wants us to go dozens of miles to a big city like Atlanta to the VA just to spend hours there and be told they can’t see us. Only then can we go to a community care doctor in our own town. She doesn’t care about us, she cares about protecting government jobs at the VA. Sickening to watch this after we’ve fought so hard to get quality, competitive health care in our own communities. Thank you @SecVetAffairs for standing up for us!

At the beginning of the pandemic, I talked extensively with our unit chaplain and showed him the data. I explained why it was time "for doctors, chaplains, and JAGS to step outside the wire and fight for their soldiers". I got two responses from him over the course of the pandemic. 1) "awww come on, Doc, just get the shot...if it's not God's will for you, He will forgive you." 2) "I just can't understand why these men and women are willing to give up their dream of being a pilot for their faith." Looking to this chaplain for wise counsel was like looking for the truth in mainstream media and as dangerous as playing Russian Roulette with a fully loaded gun! This man got promoted in part because of the "body count" he helped secure for the jab!
Chaplain America@RealChapAmerica

Would it surprise you to know that Senior ‘Chaplains’ knew that the military was systematically discriminating against religion and they said nothing? Sadly, it doesn’t shock me anymore. Perhaps once upon a time, but after hearing stories like this time and time again, it does not. (The following story is shared upon request to highlight moral and ethical failures throughout Covid. Hopefully we will learn from these lessons and future chaplains, future leaders will have the moral courage to ensure that nothing like this ever happens again.) During one Religious Accommodation (RA) requestor's engagement with ‘Chaplain’ Goode, the senior chaplain at West Point Military Academy, the requestor was told that “no Religious Accommodations will be approved.” This was in the fall of 2021 within a couple weeks of the mandate coming down. The requestor was also told that “[They were] wasting [their] time” in filing for the request. COL Goode claimed that the Army ‘Chief’ of Chaplains himself had told him that no accommodations would be granted. Goode said that he would know, stating that he knew the Chief of Staff for the ‘Chief’ of Chaplains, and got the information directly from the horse’s mouth. He had his sources to know that the @USArmy was intent on religious discrimination from the very beginning. This is acknowledgement from the very top. Did COL Goode speak up against this unlawful discrimination? Not to our knowledge. If COL Goode knew, how many other senior leaders in the Chaplain Corps were in on the worst-kept secret? How many of those senior Chaplain Corps ‘leaders’ spoke up? Well, that’s a great question. A few brave chaplains spoke out in the press and on social media. A few brave chaplains banded together to make claim in federal court to highlight the unlawful actions taken under Lloyd Austin’s Dept of Defense (Alvarado v. Austin). A few continue to fight for religious freedom and the American Dream. However, most chaplains kept their mouth shut. Most chaplains chose the institution over their God. Most chaplains failed to exhibit a modicum of moral courage. During the unlawful Covid shot mandate, the Free Exercise of Religion went out the window and ‘chaplains’ like COL Keith Goode were more than happy to throw open the shutters. While people like him have been allowed to retire ‘honorably’ and draw a pension from the taxpayers they have betrayed, many like him are still in service. The Chaplain Corps should follow the principle that quality is better than quantity. It would be better to have fewer faithful chaplains than to continue to allow these whitewashed tombs to ruin our Corps. I pray that @POTUS, @SecWar, and the Service Secretaries move to remove chaplains who failed the moral and ethical tests during the unlawful Covid mandates, who forsook their Oath to support and defend the Constitution, and dishonored their God and our nation by their actions. Let us unburden ourselves of the dead weight so that the Chaplain Corps can be made great again.

Christian - every person you meet is a sinner in need of God's grace, just like you are. The cashier, the atheist, the addict, the internet "fool," the proud man, the difficult neighbor, and you. Christians should never look down on people Christ came to save.

@Apologetics941 The LDS Church loves to say that this book is not official doctrine, although it has significant references of official doctrine and the standard works. Not to mention that the author is a so-called “apostle”

This book is the gift that keeps on giving! Check out this amazing paragraph. The capitalization is something I did just to show what it says and how stupid it is. The great Apostle Bruce R. McConkie ladies and gentlemen! "It means that members of all races may now be married in the temple, ALTHOUGH INTERRACIAL MARRIAGES ARE DISCOURAGED BY THE BRETHREN, and that the full blessings of the gospel may be made available to their ancestors through vicarious temple ordinances. It also means that Negro members of the Church may now perform missionary service and should bear the burdens of the kingdom equally with all other members of the Church."

Justin Thomas credits his wife for helping him get mentally prepared for his 65 on Sunday at the PGA. "I vented and kind of got everything off my chest to my wife Jill last night. Credit to her, she gave great advice. She was like, well, use that tomorrow. She's seen me play pissed off. I've done it in Ryder Cups a lot, and it's like sometimes it brings a little different energy and different side out of it. "So I've got to give her a lot of credit for that because I tried to use that out of my finish and round today to play today and shoot as low as I could."
