Watching the scope move and then seeing the galaxy appear left him stunned. After just 20 minutes of use—capturing a rough image of Andromeda and a quick shot of the Moon—he was hooked. Looking back, he describes that night as life-changing. Over the next two years, Rob added more Seestar devices—two S30s and an S30 Pro. Now, whenever conditions allow, they are out capturing the sky. With the planning feature, his scopes continue working even through changing conditions, resuming automatically when the sky clears. Astrophotography has since become part of his daily life. Whether setting up, processing images, or planning future sessions, Rob is constantly learning. He has also found inspiration and support within the Seestar community, which played a key role in his journey. Through these compact, lunchbox-sized devices, Rob has explored celestial objects he had never imagined before—turning curiosity into knowledge and passion. It was set up to honour E3D’s co-founder Sanjay who had ADHD. Sanjay was always open about his condition and the challenges it brought, and was determined not to let it define him. He was a visionary with a brilliant mind and his capacity to think unconventionally drove much of the progress that E3D and the #3DPrinting industry has enjoyed. The charity wants to enable more young people to realise their strengths by giving them access to funding and mentorship. I need to build a wire bending machine to automatically create the wires for the protoboards. It doesn’t seem that hard. It should automatically select the spool, bend the wire to shape, and maybe even strip the ends. This way I can simply drop the wire in and solder it.

🔭 Rediscovering the Night Sky: Krisztián’s Story from Newtonian Telescopes to Smart Astrophotography "I'm proud to be part of the Seestar community." Krisztián said. "I'm Antal Krisztián. Astronomy has always been close to my heart. Years ago, I owned a large Newtonian telescope and loved observing the night sky. Over time, I realized that astrophotography is what truly excites me — but as an amateur, traditional setups felt incredibly complex and expensive. That’s when I found Seestar. At first, I was skeptical — I didn’t expect such a small device to deliver serious results. But this little box truly works wonders in the sky. The image quality surprised me, and I was especially impressed by the outstanding build quality and thoughtful engineering. It feels premium, durable, and incredibly well-designed — a compact device that performs far beyond expectations. I am still a beginner in astrophotography, but the Seestar S50 has made the entire experience incredibly enjoyable and accessible. The simplicity of setup, the reliable tracking, and the overall image quality exceeded my expectations — especially considering how compact and user-friendly the system is. I’ve had it for about two months now, although unfortunately the weather has mostly been cloudy. I’ve only had a few chances to use it so far, but I’ll gladly continue sharing new images as I capture them. All of the attached photos were taken from Hungary, specifically from Gyöngyös, under Bortle 5 skies. I used EQ mode for improved tracking accuracy, and I am genuinely impressed by how stable and precise the mount performs, even during longer sessions. For post-processing, I use PixInsight to carefully enhance the final stacked FITS files.
