Do you agree that we need male characters in books who are role models for readers because they are strong, masculine, intelligent, have emotional self control, are attracted to women but also practice restraint, and are not broken souls?

An American beta-reader criticized my 18-year-old character drinking beer because they assumed it should not be allowed, despite it being high fantasy set in a fictional & historical world. Also drinking age (beer, wine) in Germany is 16. Not every place is the US!🤦‍♀️

Look I’m sober and alive and free because of a sheriffs deputies. She saved my life from alcohol. Arrested in my driveway, she hauled me in. I needed it. I couldn’t quit.

Daughter refused to pull over while rushing her mom, who was having a stroke, to the hospital. I support our men and women in blue, but with a stroke every second matters. Did the officer handle this the right way?

I don’t think I would say corrupt. Just doesn’t care. As a member of the police - caring for those in public is important. Still we don’t know - he could have been shot at in another situation and has ptsd. Point was he took a life and death situation - and decided to not let them go the little further to the hospital - and didn’t engage in conversation. He ruins it for all the good cops out there and in this case - could have cost a life. With great power comes great responsibility - yeah. Cops have power and their job is to serve. I showed to a friend who is a cop. He said there were better ways to handle this. But the guy is probably not a jerk because he is a cop - he was probably always a jerk that just happened to choose to become a cop. I could go on but I’m tired… 🥱

Can they save her but the evil still finds a way out and book 2 is about the journey of defeating it? But then they find out it had a child and book 3... and then... and then... haha.
