@deutmeyer_troy We battle this every year in spots. I’ve heard it all- k, zn, sulfur, etc deficiency. I’ve heard too cold , too wet, planted too early, or late. Strip till, convention, no tillage-doesn’t matter, people have it all around us as well. No one can give an answer.

Many farmers have been wondering whether or not the Canadian wildfire smoke is going to affect yields. Here’s a good article on the subject that concludes…. It depends. bit.ly/3YwMAOR

The 2nd #WCR of the year was found a few minutes later by @nick_seiter. They’re back! Drought conditions are making their hungry presence evident! VT2P corn is suffering under high larval pressure, while our SmartStax Pro (#SSXPRO) is standing tall - just catching a few rays.

The potential for corn #rootworm larvae & adults to cause devastating damage warrants concern among #corn growers. However, by monitoring #CRW adults with sticky traps, growers can learn whether their 2023 populations are any reason to fear the CRW in 2024. #TheMoreYouKnow #IPM

According to @ArlanFF101, the single biggest U.S. percentage corn planting gain in a week is 43% (2013). To put that in perspective USDA 2022 corn acreage estimate - 89.5M acres - 43% would be 38.5M acres being planted in 7 days - 5.5M acres each day - 230K/hour - 3,817/minute
