@ipoinn I'm really looking forward to this movie and try to keep having an open mind, but at the same time damn, I really wish we could get to see a really faithful RE movie/show, maybe someday in the future but who knows.

It's not canon to the games whatsoever, it's more like "Hey this movie will make you feel like you're playing RE" instead of diving deep into the lore established in games

I'm not linking that post but Resident Evil 7 is the reason why the franchise is so prevalent in today's landscape. 7 being such a radical shift from the series' methodology provided a foundation for the rest of the modern era. Believing otherwise is not engaging with reality

@Bronze_Sausage It's all about filmmaking, you hire a good director, writer, cinematographer and it can look good even if it's corny, look at the Star Wars prequels, those fight scenes with backflips and shit they look cool.

as someone who read the script, this movie is ass. it's bad resident evil and okay horror. it doesn't need to be 1:1 but all the inconsistency is kinda bad.

Today has shown just how clueless and brain dead alot of Resident Evil "fans" actually are. It's pathetic that there are people crying about there being snow in the new movie, or complaining about it being an original character and story instead of a 1:1 adaptation. (1/6)
