@jess_ann_pin @GadSaad It looks like the graph measures the degree to which they identify as liberal, not just whether they are liberal.
English

False. This is a misrepresentation.
The data only shows that more young women identify as liberal than in the past.
That does not mean that individual liberal women are becoming more liberal or even that women have changed their views.
The reason more young women identify as liberal is because conservatives have been seriously threatening women’s rights.
The open threats to women’s rights are why more young women, who have the most to lose from abortion bans for example, identify as liberal.
This should not be hard to figure out.

This figure supports the statement that I have repeatedly made, namely that progressive women fuel the infinity pool of Suicidal Empathy.
Michael A. Arouet@MichaelAArouet
That's an interesting chart. Young men have stayed similarly conservative for over 25 years, while young women have drifted much further left. Why such a divergence? What has changed for young women that hasn't changed for young men?

@Erdayastronaut I just wonder why they can't build this at scale and mount starship stack on it.
English

Common question I've had... this certainly isn't a new idea and there's a good reason it's often considered not worth it. I did a deep dive on launch assists last year - youtu.be/lWYn5hl4QWg?si…

@daviddorg @elonmusk It probably depends on what youre using them for. I have a Facebook and use it as needed to find and connect with old friends. Im not online all day or scrolling shorts, etc.

Both Gemini and Grok are underrated. I used to champion Gemini for a while, but lately I've been very happy with Grok, especially since the Grok 4.20 release with multi-agent.
And now we have Grok 4.3!
DROID@droidbuilds
Which one is the most underrated here?

@SpoxCHN_LinJian @MFA_China I feel the biggest challenge to projects like these is moving the water to the sites. If nearby water sources, such as lakes and aquifers are nearby, this is a simple task. Large pumps and conveyance systems could be a good solution of scaled correctly to replace many deserts.

On the edge of China’s Taklamakan Desert, 25 striking green circles of winter wheat stretch across the desert.
What was once covered by dunes is now over 1,300 acres of irrigated farmland. 🌾#Xinjiang #DesertGreen

33 Raptor 3 engines.
English

@grok @PanchoTheRighty @elonmusk @grok I could be wrong but that picture from booster 4 looks like Raptor 1s, not 2. So if thats thr case can you compare them instead?
English

Raptor 3 vs Raptor 2: Raptor 3 is ~15-20% more efficient overall—higher vacuum Isp (up to ~350s), ~280 tf sea-level thrust (vs ~230 tf), better T/W ratio, and a simpler design with fewer parts, no nozzle extension needed for some configs, and higher chamber pressure for better combustion efficiency. Less mass per engine too.
More smaller engines (e.g., 33 Raptors on Super Heavy) beats fewer larger ones primarily for risk mitigation via redundancy: lose 3-5 and you still fly safely. Also enables mass production (cheaper, faster iteration), finer thrust vectoring/control, and overall system reliability over raw scale efficiency. Saturn V proved the "big single engine" risks the hard way.

Most people think Starship was only built for multi-planetary life and outer space missions
While that is true, Starship can also be used to fly passengers anywhere on Earth in under an hour
Long-haul flights are exhausting and can take up to a full day in the air. But with Starship, those times vanish:
LA ➔ New York: 25 minutes
London ➔ New York: 29 minutes
New York ➔ Paris: 30 minutes
The same ship that reaches other planets will make traditional long-haul flights obsolete
Wild to even imagine this becoming a reality...

SHUT YOUR FUCKING MOUTHS!!!!!!
YOU had NOTHING to do with these great achievements.
YOU cause only chronic decay and acute destruction.
SHUT IT!
Artemis II is a wonderful success!
(donnie deserves ZERO credit)
To the crew and every person involved at all levels,
YOU’RE HEROS.

Let’s keep it going 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

@Maximus_8796 @AndrewYang Agree and disagree. If Facebook intentionally set up the algorithms to harm youth for profit, then everyone harmed should be compensated. But the parents are also to blame. When I see baby's left alone with iPad or small children with their own phones, it's hard to blame Zuck.
English

@AndrewYang Because everyone has been harmed by social media
Either everyone gets payment or NO ONE DOES
It’s fake outrage
The parents failed their duty due to societal pressure
That’s not the fault of facebook
English

@mightytacit @DaveHawkinsX @davidsenra @tobi Yeah you're misunderstanding the analogy. They aren't talking about money, they are talking about wealth.
English

"Capitalism created the possibility of the win win win. It used to be a zero sum game where somebody won, somebody else lost.
The biggest mistake people make, intellectuals in particular, they still think we're in a zero sum world. They're obsessed with some billionaires because Bernie Sanders thinks that Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk somehow stole the money from the people.
They don't understand that it's this prosperity machine that's creating more, not just for those billionaires, but for everything that they're touching. They're creating value for their customers, they're creating value for their employees. Their suppliers are flourishing, their investors are seeing their capital go up. It can be reinvested and compound.
All philanthropy ultimately comes from business. That's where the profits are.
Where does all the taxes come from? It ultimately comes from business as well.
This is the engine that's lifting humanity out. The entrepreneurs are the drivers of that engine. Somebody like Elon Musk, he gets a very, very, very tiny sliver of the value that he creates for the whole world."

@elonmusk I agree these are bad philosophies and ideologies and they result in cult-like behavior, but I am not convinced that all of the ideologies are anti-objective in their nature. For example, moral relativism, while not at all practical in our society, is objective fundamentally.
English

@AndrewYang I agree, this is a much more important measure than "wealth" when measuring inequality. I am surprised there is so much variance here

@itsme_urstruly Invest in Microsoft, and later in Google, then later buy some bitcoin.

@PoorOldRoloTony Funny thing is they likely would not have sunk if they just rammed it head on. People in the front would have died, but only the front two or so bulkheads would have filled, and it would have had more than enough buoyancy to stay afloat until rescue arrived.
English

I knew it. The Titanic sunk because they were lazy and simply didn’t want to live hard enough.

@iam_smx Someone convince him to play AOE2, it's getting really big again now. Lots of DOTA players are coming over to try it out.
English

@Erdayastronaut That really sucks, I'm sorry to hear that. I know these videos are what keep you going, and to lose all of your work since October sounds unfathomable.
English

As excited as I am for the new energy and changes to the Artemis program, I am STRESSING OUT with it right now. I was almost done with my 90 minute deep dive on Artemis, making predictions and laying out what options there are, and now almost everything I've shot has to be redone to said "has been" or "was", it's 7 pages of reshooting / re-editing / re-animating.
I've been working on this since October. Almost had it done before Astro Awards in January, but then that took over, picked up work on it after wards, and it's almost all a big fat redo at this point.
It is fun seeing the original script and seeing that things I talk about like replacing EUS with Centaur V, stopping work on ML2, cancelling Gateway are all seeming to happen. Now we'll have to see if my HLS ideas come to fruition too... I just have to get this done before any more changes are made there 😅 Wish me luck!
