@bubbacold @BestMovieMom Is the retirement based on physical capability? I didn’t know this was a written rule? I’m sure if the actor is capable physicslality wise it shouldn’t be a problem? The likes of Liam neeson was doing action stunts etc into his 60’s I don’t know if there is an age requisite?

Connery was 32 when he started, Moore was 46, Dalton was 41, Brosnan was 42, and Craig was 38.
By the time his first film gets made, Maguire would be 10 years older than Connery when he stopped being Bond.

The next Bond should be an unknown, not a tabloid face. Cavill, Pattinson, Idris, and Aaron Taylor Johnson all carry too much baggage. Connery, Moore, and Craig were all relative unknowns. The franchise has historically launched its lead, not borrowed one.
