#ProjectHailMary AMAZE AMAZE AMAZE!!!!! 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽 Just find the time to go see this film at the best screen near you ASAP. It's not just a film, but an experience. The direction, visuals, soundtrack - everything was top-notch. The blend of humour, emotions and existential dread makes it a very compelling and complex story. Ryan Gosling as Dr. Ryland Grace delivered a fantastic performance. The transition from an underappreciated scientist forced into the mission to a man rising to the occasion was tastefully portrayed. However, it was Rocky who stole the show. He was so lovable and genuine. I loved him from the moment he appeared on screen. The chemistry between him and Dr. Grace was the soul of the film. Visually, the film is a masterpiece. The sample collection and fishing sequences at Tau Ceti were jaw-dropping. Knowing that practical effects were used extensively, including animatronics and puppets for Rocky, makes you appreciate the film even more. The soundtrack was amazing too. All the background scores worked so beautifully and Sandra Hüller singing 'Sign of the Times' just hits different given the context. PHM sits close on the level of Interstellar for me, while bringing a refreshing, light-hearted energy that balances the high-stakes tension. This is NOT a "wait for OTT" kind of film. It demands you watch it in the theatres on the best screen possible. A genuine must-watch.
