Imagine having to explain to someone seeing Wazzu vs Oregon St in Eugene that this is not a Pac 12 Tournament game, but an NCAA Regional of a Mountain West team vs an Independent team at a Big Ten stadium.

The Big 12 is considering moving to 10 conference games in football and 20 conference games in men's basketball in the future, says commissioner Brett Yormark. Those discussions will continue.

Big 12 football coaches unanimously voted in favor of a 24-team College Football Playoff format in Big 12 meetings today. Not a surprise, but unanimous like the Big Ten.

Greg Sankey says the SEC's timeline on a decision on a 24-team CFP expansion will likely come in the fall.

This will begin in 2027, not next season.

The NCAA officially announces that the fields of the Division I men's and women's basketball championships will increase from 68 teams to 76 starting in 2027.

The lowest-seeded 12 automatic qualifiers as seeded by the committees will play in half of the Opening Round games, while the other six games will feature the 12 lowest-seeded at-large teams.
