. @hasanthehun 's statement is correct: there were Jews/people of Jewish ancestry in the "Nazi Command structure." These were "Mischlinge", persons of mixed Jewish/German ancestry. They include Luftwaffe Generals Helmuth Wilberg and Günther Sachs, both of whom received special dispensation and/or "Honorary Aryan" status, but whose Jewish ancestry is confirmed in the German archives. Another famous example was Field Marshall Milch of the Air Force, although he wasn't halakhically Jewish (his father was Jewish) and Goering got him a sham certificate of Aryan ancestry. Obviously, these cases, which specifically involved 'Mischlinge' of partial German ancestry, do not contradict the general policy of extermination applied to Jews. Nor are they representative of the experience of Mischlinge in general. In fact, all German Mischlinge were dismissed from the military - and many tens of thousands had been serving - on Hitler's order in 8 April 1940.* Although there were numerous individual exemptions, including the generals I Mentioned above. So Hasan's remark omits critical context. Yet ironically given your (and @BoxLoner's) moralizing and ridicule, he's technically correct and you're incorrect. There were Jews (people known to have Jewish mothers) in senior positions in Nazi Germany. Incidentally, in this context, Lonerbox was insinuating that Israel's supposed employment of Palestinians in senior state positions contradicts claims of genocide. Yet Israel denies that Israeli Palestinians exist, instead calling them "Israeli Arabs." So the (vanishingly small) number of Israeli Palestinians in senior positions in government or IDF don't pose an ideological problem for Israel or contradiction with the government's/IDF's genocidal outlook towards Palestinians. *Later on in the war they were subject to forced labor, and the Nazi plan appears to have been to mass sterilize Mischlinge after the war, with extermination also a possibility. And as to non-German Mischlinge, they were systematically exterminated with other Jews in the Holocaust.
