Lots of great stuff in the Writing Framework but heavy-handed in messaging around sentences. 312 refs! Will we end up with 'writing robots' who are capable of creating sentence salads that lack coherence & impact? Definitely some nuance needed when reflecting on key messages.

This week is Sky Arts week with the theme connections. We decided to connect with a whole school 'doodle' on the playground in the style of Mr Doodle. We also collaborated to make our own band! All children worked together beautifully and really enjoyed the opportunity.

After their trip to Thrigby Wildlife gardens, Year 5 picked an animal they saw to create a leaflet. They have been working hard on these with fantastic results!

OH MY GOSHH!!! My application was successful and our school has been chosen (only 21 schools in the whole of the UK!!!!) to take part in the RfP quality mark next year. I am so, so, so proud of everything we do for reading so to see it come together…I could cry!!! 🤩
