Ironically people are playing it too safe in a time where nothing feels safe. Surprisingly even some institutions are also not as welcome to works that address current events. I’ve submitted a few proposals for pieces with scathing commentary and what’s going on, and they won’t even touch the subject matter.

In the age of weaponized artificial intelligence and the antichrist, where war crimes are an everyday occurrence, and a global economic crisis is staring us right in the face... We are witnessing the birth of a historic art movement that has literally nothing interesting to say.

Rebecca Rose (@rebeccarose) is featured as part of Women’s History Month on @museframe—an initiative developed and curated by Farrah Carbonell (@FARRAHXYZ) for @artandvault, in collaboration with @theHUGart. Powered by @artdomains. Selected from the HUG open call, Rose is a Florida-based collage artist and storyteller whose decades-long practice moves between physical and digital forms. Her work constructs layered compositions that extend into spatial animation, where faceless grayscale figures inhabit vivid, surreal environments. Within these worlds, the familiar begins to shift—quietly shaped by tension, consequence, and underlying unease. Her work has been exhibited internationally, including presentations at the Whitney Museum (New York), Rijksmuseum (Amsterdam), and Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe (Hamburg), and is held in the permanent collection of the Museum of Art + Light. Supported by major foundations including the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation and Joan Mitchell Foundation, her practice continues to expand across both physical and digital contexts. Huge thank you @RebeccaRose for gifting me “Flight 49: Plant City - Orlando” from the Transatlantic series, such a beautiful piece 💜 It was previously shown at Bitcoin Summit Asia in HK with @BtcArtSociety , and now it’s sitting in my wallet 😍 What makes it even more meaningful, the very first digital artwork I ever collected was “Viva Las Degen.” That piece really marked the beginning of everything for me in this space. Feels like a full circle moment 🟠
