At the end of each day, Walt Disney would turn to the Sherman Bros at the piano and say “play it”. The song in question: “Feed The Birds” from Mary Poppins. The concept of the song is a philosophy of kindness, finding beauty and compassion in caring for others through simple gestures. I’ve been thinking about Jules’ birds a lot this weekend- and it speaks the same language.

🖼️ 24 HOURS OF ART 📊 May 2, 2026 🐦 Birds Fly ‘Birds’ by @nicedayJules and @mungimungimungi debut with a livestream and physical event in Los Angeles. The “installation for the internet” features 100 unique Birds navigating a network including Sanctuary artworks that all Birds can visit, Home artworks with 1:1 relationships to Birds, and Observation artworks, open editions that capture Birds in specific moments. Five Sanctuary acquisitions are announced: - ‘Caroline’s Meadow’ to @tadtweets and Caroline Fitzgibbons - ‘The Last Light’ to @Rhynotic - ‘In the Tangle’ to @randytlittle - ‘Where Water Meets Sun’ to @Blondie23LMD - ‘A Place Between’ to @MaryPatBing and @NedRyersonBing One hundred Bird Homes sell out for 1.5 ETH each via presale (75) and public release (25), across 74 collectors including the @opensea Flagship Collection, @RaoulGMI, @toadswiback, and more. Secondary has seen five sales of 3.33, 2.7, 2.5, 2.5 ETH and 2 WETH, with current list at 4.2 ETH. Thus far more than 2,700 ‘Bird Observations’ have been made and remain open for $1 USD each. Birds 🐦‍⬛ Observe Presence 🐦‍⬛ 100/100 Little late to the party here, s/o @gmspace_ and @degenpain (and I'm sure others). I couldn't track down Scottie. However, I can confirm that @RaoulGMI's Quillian is everywhere but at home. Spent a good portion of the weekend bird-watching, simply mesmerized by what @nicedayJules and @mungimungimungi created. I have a few questions, as I couldn't find any information on the main site during the release. cc: @nicedayJules @mungimungimungi 1/ Are Bird locations and migration states fully on-chain? 2/ Are observations minted as ERC tokens? 3/ Is the migration logic deterministic, generative, or server-controlled? 4/ Can the installation continue functioning if Birds.app disappears? 5/ Are the Sanctuaries, Homes, and Observations separate contract systems or just metadata layers? or something else?
