@davidcarr333 @alandrummond2 We are training alot of our rural staff virtual ER and so many questions are coming up on what to do in cardiac arrest scenarios , it is very hard to answer as most RNs don’t feel comfortable implementing all ACLS skills with a virtual Dr.

@alandrummond2 That is why we should have virtual walk in clinics and virtual family medicine. They took the virtual codes away from family doctors and are pretending that a virtual ED decants the emergency department and provides emergency care. .

The "Virtual ER" model being widely adopted in Saskatchewan and Newfoundland has its roots in the belief that most visits to rural ERs are for minor, non-urgent and largely deferrable patient presentations.

It is time to let walk in clinic docs, family docs and specialists do virtual care. ER virtual care is not a substitute nor does it accomplish much. We need ER docs to do what they do best. There is no substitute for their skill. They need to look after sick patients in person
