this was during the fs in Jan ‘26, fan was asking abt the types of music styles Wonpil wanted to do (he’d mentioned it was a constant debate during the seasons: pat pat ep) he said it was impt to find the right mix b/w doing smth the gp liked, and smth that was just DAY6. Then note his bright expression when he said that the latter (D6) wld be evolving now (Context: he might have been hinting since we learnt his album was nearly complete in Jan)

Through 사랑병동 (Highs and Lows), Wonpil wanted to show that he can confidently do this kind of music too. He shared with My Days that he'd long worried about whether he should try new sounds and if people would accept it. But in the end, he decided to break out of the "safe music" box ©6__09_07

For Piano, Wonpil's goal was to create a melody that conveys a story even without vocals, so he experimented with suddenly changing the texture of instruments in certain sections and placing unexpected sounds to enhance the song. He asks us to pay close attention to details we'd normally overlook, like the subtle tremble of the piano or the movement of the bass.

Wonpil had a desire to try new sounds he hadn't explored before, while also not straying too far from his identity. Finding a middle ground was difficult, but he believes he successfully achieved it with 사랑병동 (love ward / highs & lows), a song that starts with a synth-centered riff he has always wanted to do

#Unpiltered Records Up All Night A song that focuses on the rhythm. He tried new methods to make it sound unique and different from his other work. He wanted the song to build up naturally and not sound forced or artificial. He spent the longest time working on the chorus to make it match the song's temperature and color.

#Unpiltered Records 백만송이는 아니지만 (Though It's Not a Million Roses... / Eng Title: Hold My Love) To Wonpil, love begins with excitement, but in order to be complete you need the willingness to embrace the imperfections of the other person. He believes love should be clear, straightforward, simple, and not extravagant.

Not a straightforward song. 사랑병동 (Love Ward) Since we live in a society where we can’t really burst out and express our emotions freely, he imagined a place where people who are brekaing down and in great pain could gather and let it all out. He called this place "Love Ward". Love is a metaphor here, but the song can also be about any pain. In the song, they're pleading to be saved, but no one can save them. 어른이 되어 버렸다 (I Became an Adult) Very different from the way he expressed things in Pilmography. Up All Night Fun, captivating, and seductive song. He's curious about Myday's reaction after hearing it. Step by Step Rhythmic song that gradually builds up. 백만송이는 아니지만 (Though It's Not a Million Roses..) A song that makes you feel good. 피아노 (Piano) "The hate of being forgetten, and the desire to stay as a memory". He said we'll understand when we listen to the song For this album he wanted to show a new side of him. The album is in the middle between the DAY6 wonpil we all know and a completely new side of him that we haven't seen before.
