On a work trip to Copenhagen I saw more people using mobility aids in four days than I’ve seen the US in decades because it was possible for someone to safely navigate the city *without* a car. Automobile dependence is an economic and physical prison.

@BarbaraFantechi out of personal experience i can reassure you that academia in europe is still setup to favor "white" mathematicians over those of "asian descent", so no worries there!
