sinners is a terrible watch for people who have no basic understanding of american history, jim crow, irish history, the gospel to blues pipeline and the ongoing fight between the black church and black spirituality, or have never seen fireflies.

I admit I haven’t seen sinners (not racist, other reasons) but every clip or bit of promotional material I have seen make it look like the corniest movie ever made

@PatrickjDevine @AmeriKraut But nobody had to explain that to you. You knew why you like it, but too many need to explain why people should like it…..and that makes other question its quality.

@RecruitBoss @AmeriKraut I’m not here to convince you to like Sinners. To your point, I appreciated the sweeping views of the fields transporting us to a time and place. Excellent cinematography. The music. Stories of families and friends. Love and loss.Seeing the world through someone else’s perspective

@PatrickjDevine @AmeriKraut That's science. But empirically through lighting, writing, cinematography, acting and effects....Interstellar is a good film. And nobody has to explain why it's good.

@RecruitBoss @AmeriKraut Sometimes you have to learn about things you know very little about to truly appreciate a film. I loved Interstellar, but I didn’t know how wormholes work, or general theories of multiple dimensions etc… Sinners is like that but with culture folks like you and I aren’t privy to.

Two things to thank for this CBA. 1) The NBA. They have been paying $25 million a year to keep the WNBA solvent for 25 years. That's $625 Million roughly over 25 years. So the NBA included the WNBA in any broadcast agreement. If you don't give the WNBA a deal you don't get the NBA. 2) Caitlin Clark. If it wasn't for her causing the increase in viewership and attendance....the WNBA would never have enough "projected" income to justify these salary increases. But the question is....will the WNBA still allow the other petty, jealous players in the league beat the hell out of Clark with flagrant fouls, because without her....they will never reach projections.

If Vader feels the force thinking Luke is on it, it doesn’t have to be revealed they’re siblings yet. It sets it up for later. Just how she kisses Luke not knowing then we later find out Just saying your argument doesn’t hold water against his fan theory. There’s plenty of arguments against. But this isn’t one of them

In ESB, Vader was obsessed with chasing the Falcon because he thought Luke was on it. He was sensing the Force, but who he was sensing was actually Leia.
