The heat wave is here, Arizona. Remember that extreme heat impacts some people more than others. Especially older adults, young children, people with disabilities, and those without access to cooling. Do your part to help keep your community safe!

Extreme heat is hitting Arizona this week. Take a moment to check on elderly or disabled neighbors to make sure they’re safe and staying cool. A quick visit or call can make a big difference during dangerous temperatures.

As a heat wave sweeps through Arizona, check on neighbors. Extreme heat is dangerous for vulnerable groups! That’s why the Red Cross went door to door in Tucson, sharing heat safety information to over 150 people and providing free electrolytes to help residents stay safe. ❤️

Heat waves can become dangerous fast. If your AC goes out and your home becomes too hot, don’t wait it out, move to a cooler place. Consider going to a library, mall, community center, cooling center, or a friend or family member’s home until temperatures are safe again.

20 miles, horseback riders, and a whole lot of community spirit! At the Sweetwater Chapter Veterans Trail Ride in the Carrizo Mountains, four Red Cross volunteers from across northern Arizona set up a break station to cheer on riders. ❤️

This morning, the Red Cross responded to a multi-family apartment fire in Mesa. Three families were displaced after their homes were rendered uninhabitable. 4 of our dedicated volunteers provided assistance, offering emotional support, comfort kits, and water to those affected.
