At the Red Cross, we never stop helping, and the numbers tell the story. In April, we helped more than 270 families and nearly 800 total people in 172 zip codes who experienced house fires, tornadoes and storm damage. When disaster strikes, we answer the call.

Take a look at this hail from Laclede County from yesterday's storms. It's larger than a tennis ball! Yikes.

Something BIG is coming to Central and Northern Missouri. It will make the community safer when a disaster strikes. It will gather lifesaving blood donations to cancer patients. It will provide essential training for your neighborhoods and businesses. Thank you to the Columbia Missourian for the incredible article about the new American Red Cross building in Columbia that will start serving 27 counties this summer. Link in comments!

From surviving one of the most stressful moments of her life to becoming a source of comfort for others, Becca’s journey is a powerful reminder of how healing can lead to hope for others. After a fire destroyed her apartment, Red Cross volunteers helped her pick up the pieces. Compelled to give back, she stepped into the same role that once supported her—responding to fires and helping families through their hardest days. “I thought it would be cool to give back in a way that I had been helped.” Watch her inspiring story ⬇️ @KMOV

March is #RedCrossMonth, but our mission is lived out daily. This weekend alone, our teams supported 75 families and 186 individuals across Missouri and Arkansas after home fires. Compassion in action, every single day.

Standing together for those who serve our community every day is an honor we never take for granted. We are grateful to the St. Louis Cardinals and the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department for partnering with us for the 5th year in a row to support local area first responders. Supporting them means supporting the people who show up for us. To everyone who rolled up a sleeve — thank you. Your generosity and compassion will help save lives. @Cardinals @SLMPD

Donating blood is one stranger saving the life of another. You have the power to save someone’s future. You may never meet the person you save, but they will forever remember you. Laura Dulles survived a life‑threatening medical emergency thanks to the generosity of blood donors she’ll never meet. Now she’s sharing her story to remind others that every donation is a chance to save someone’s future. Her journey is a powerful testament to how one simple act of kindness can ripple into a lifetime of gratitude. Read Laura's story here: rdcrss.org/3P3oc6E

Every two weeks, Rick Keating rolls up his sleeve, not for recognition but because someone out there needs a fighting chance. This Red Cross volunteer donates platelets and drives lifesaving blood to local area hospitals, knowing each delivery could save a life. His routine is simple. His impact is extraordinary. Watch his story and see what quiet heroism really looks like.
