I learnt this the hard way between earl 2022 - late 2024, constantly believing I had to be perfect and produce nothing but fully rendered, it wasn't until 2025 that I really shifted perspective and tried doing things differently. I've honestly never felt better with my art since.

Most art "talent" is just 10k+ hours of ugly warmup doodles and practice sheets that nobody sees, but potentially artistic individuals would rather doompost "i'm just not creative", "oh I wish I could draw", and doomscroll instead of sitting down for 30 minutes a day and accepting their sketchbook will look and feel like a crime scene for the first two-three years (event less for those who are determined). No one's born with talent, an affinity maybe. But that affinity does nothing if you don't train it.
