@lola_rabbbit But, Godzilla turns out to be a she; and she lays eggs; and one egg survives; and it hatches; but we never got to find out what happens next because it didn't get a sequel because. . . yeah, it was definitely the worst one.
Even so, a sequel, with a babyzilla: coulda been great!

@BlankExpressio1 I know it's not important, but I just think 'reaping what she sewed' is an amazing. . . it's not even a typo, an amazing, semantic error. 'Reap What You Sew' would be an absolutely great name for a seamstress or tailoring business.

@goldimocks As I said, just the fact that it was foisted on us with no choice, may have coloured my perception. Although there were other texts we did this way that I did enjoy, more or less, so it can't have been just that. I probably would have preferred to get a say in the choices

@RedKingsRace I’ve heard the book is actually a gothic horror and not a romance. The more I hear about the book the more interesting it is in comparison (though I’ve heard the last half is a slog to get through). So it’s just… bad. The film says nothing 😒

Wuthering Heights is an incredibly empty film. Haven’t even read the book, yet can tell Fennell gutted anything rich & offered a frustratingly hallow plot that’s desperately trying to be sexy (it’s not). Their love felt forced & it was hard to even be invested in the characters

@RedKingsRace @AtwinGracie2002 Different taste I guess. It had good visuals for sure but until the vampires I honestly felt like nothing was going on.. felt the same was about Train Dreams (boring). Really liked Marty Supreme, OBAA, Hamnet, Bugonia..found Sinners vastly overrated.

@realarniegrape @AtwinGracie2002 This is such an amazingly wrong take. For example, I showed it to my parents - without giving any context - and it was specifically the appearance of vampires that ruined the period piece with amazing music they'd really been enjoying up to that point.
